     better than i expected

This movie was actually quite good. I felt that it was written really well and was clever throughout the story with the main character tracking down the killer. I was quite excited toward the end, but once the end came, I was very disappointed at how that was executed. All this build up and no dramatic climax, no twist, nothing. So unfortunately for me, even though I enjoyed the bulk of the movie, the end was a disaster in my eyes. Shame really.

  2.  A new direction

What I liked about this film is that it did not in any way pan out the way I thought it was going to. It wasn't predictable or cliche at all, it was engaging and exciting and mysterious right up until the end. Really interesting and original storyline. The creepy thing is, it could probably happen...

  3.  Weird and Wonderful

I agree with the previous review relating this show to Twin Peaks. It definitely has that 'what on earth is going on?' factor throughout but all is revealed sooner or later. Very interesting storyline and fascinating characters; overall I was impressed with the show. It'll definitely keep you hooked and I just can't wait for season 2.

  4.  Excitement!!!

Oh my goodness, how could they do this? I agree with the previous comment I only expected one season as its a murder mystery and they just ended season 1 on a cliffhanger. Why can't shows like this be like Harper's Island? (check out that fantastic show). Nevertheless its a well acted, well scripted drama that just keeps delivering throughout. You won't be disappointed as each episode delivers up something new and exciting.

  5.  Classic!!!

Finally!!! I can't believe after years of searching, this movie is finally released on DVD. I remembered I recorded it off BBC1 onto a video cassette years ago but long taped over it, and they haven't showed it again since. I love this film. I love the originality, the uneasiness it made me feel, the over the top storyline that worked. It probably wouldn't scare me now but as a youngster it was one of my favourite horror films and I really can't wait to add it to my collection.

  6.  Hilarious

Kristen Wiig is pure comic genius. She does a fantastic job in this film. It was cast well and the cast just make this funny from beginning to end. There were loads of guys in the cinema as well so its not just for the ladies. Best comedy of the year so far.

  7.  I like it, I like it

Just saw this movie today and I left the cinema buzzing. This film was definitely one of the best horror films I've seen in a while and it is definitely not your typical haunted house movie, this idea is original and unique and I loved the concept, and it was executed very very well. Not at all predictable, I had no idea what was gonna happen. I saw the end going a slightly different way, so I was very surprised and excited with the ending the film produced. It's got quite a few jump moments, very creepy and works well in building tension. So gonna buy this when it comes out.

  8.  'We All Go A Little Mad Sometimes...'

So...after ten long years of waiting, Scream finally came back into my life!!! But after such a lengthy wait, I was expecting something phenomenal to knock me for six, and I am so disappointed to say that just didn't happen for me. It kills me to say it. I love the first three films; Scream is one of the best horror films ever made, but Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson just didn't pull it off. If this had been the first film, it would have worked, but it does not work as the fourth movie in a successful franchise. In the end, instead of my usual shock at who the killer was, I found it to be quite unbelievable, and I think that is mainly down to casting more than anything. As usual, there are a few laughs in there and alot of well known faces but it really needed to be a lot more twisted and deep for the idea it was trying to portray. It did try, but it didn't work. Nevertheless, I will add it to my Scream collection when it comes out.

  10.  An average film

It seems the producers of this film took all the pretty young people from shows cast on the CW newtwork (Gossip Girl, 90210, Vampire Diaries, Hellcats, One Tree Hill) and put them in the same film. It's very single white female with a younger cast. There was nothing new about this movie that I haven't seen done before. It brought nothing new to the table, but it was well enough acted. With a film that's been done over, the storyline should have been more gripping, with a few twists maybe. Overall, very average.
