  1.  A Much improved season but still with the dreadful Amy Pond

    Posted:

After the very obvious lack of budget on the hit and miss season 5, the years much improved. Its still dogged with Moffet's arrogant fanish over-complicated writing and the appalling Amy Pond,(yes I know Karen is lovely) but there are many wonderful moments, Matt Smith seems alot less embarrassed to be there and has some incredable scenes plus Alex Kingston out classes all around her. Theres no clunking mistakes like the plastic lumpy daleks, theres some really beautiful episodes this year.

  2.  Dreadful

Badly conceived, cast and written. This very mixed bag of horrendous mistakes season, from the titles and theme makeover to the just plain stupid Dalek redesign, stumbles along to a very weak climax .
Thankfully Matt Smith shines through in the bleaker moments, even when you can't understand what the companion is saying! the better episodes have amy pond locked in cupboard for the duration.....
lets hope they can get better before even more of the public loose interest.

  3.  The Worst ever season of Dr Who

  4.  One of my time favourite movies of all time

Seeing a bad review of this that I've loved since the early 1980s irritated me so much I had to post
I discovered this film in the early 1980s while it was rental in the name of DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES the uk release title and fell in love with its haunting music and visual style.
to me it always is and always will be a genius movie

  5.  Yet another remake of the classic

Still slightly stunned by this movie, This is one remake I thougt would never happen!
I adore the original 1939, and am always struck how modern and woman enpowering it is in a period when ladies would were there to look pretty in a bonnets in movies.
The script is more or less the same but with a few annoying additions, however overall it works better than the 1950s musical version The Opposite Sex

However Eva Mendes is horrific as Crystal Allen
following Joan Crawford in the first and Joan Collins in the musical is a tough job and she is pretty dreadful

  6.  All time Favorite

I'm very excited finally my all time favorite Doctor Who story is coming to DVD, with new special effects!!!!!
    Can't wait!

The last story to involve their creative auther Terry Nation, Davros rises from the dead to face the dream team of Tom Baker and Lalla Ward while the Daleks are locked into a war with the disco aliens the Movellens headed by Sussanne Danellie
what more could a growing 9 year old boy wanted!
