Like a few on here I put this in the machine last week and on initial play i thought, what the hell have they done to PES compared to 2009.
I was seriously thinking about sending it back after my first couple of games. I am a Pro Evo / Iss user since ISS98 and know the differences between the games.
However, I went back to this the next day and I got used to the new movements of the players receiving the ball etc. I havent been able to put the thing down since.
This is a vast improvement over 2009, the movement, control and passing is much improved, as is the shooting which is pretty realistic. The running animations dont seem to have changed much but I do appreciate what they have done with the 460 degree movement. You can still skin players with pace with certain players, but I must admit that the tackling is much improved also. The ball acts like a ball now and doesnt stick to players when it hits them. It can sometimes bounce off players etc, true to real life.
I have started the Master League and I am very impressed with the depth they have brought to it, seeing as this is not a management game. It adds an extra dimension.
My one gripe would be that it seems a little easier than Pro 2009, on regular level you are able to thrash teams 4 - 0 / 5 -0 most games. I remember not being able to do this in 09 straight away.
The other cool introduction is the community option, which allows you to join with your mates and create leagues and cups which you can play out together online. (We have been crying out for this for years!) Now you really can have PES leagues with your mates and know who is champ by the end of it!
Overall Graphic and Sound is much improved. I like John Champion, but please get rid of Lawrenson for next year..... Would be better with Champion and Townsend ala Champions League games on ITV.
Overall, this is a bargain for 35 quid.
You will be missing out if you dont buy this believe me.
