  1.  The best fighting game since Soul Calibur 2! IMHO

I felt the need for a fighting game on the Wii U and it was a toss up between this game and Tekken Tag Tournament 2. I asked my Miiverse friends and the majority of them said, get yourself a copy Injustice: Gods Among Us. I'm glad they did because playing through this game, was like a breath of fresh air. The single player mode has the most fantastic story, which had me gripped all the way through. This has got me really excited about the idea of a Injustice film being made in near future. All the characters have even more over top, special attack moves then Marvel vs Capcom 2 (PS2). There are some really cool insane moves where you can knock your opponent into a different stage, which makes Dead or Alive: Dimensions (Nintendo 3DS) seem tame in comparison. The fighters are very well balanced and have a great set of moves to learn each too.
I find playing this game online is best in the evenings, but I still prefer playing a multiplayer with someone in the same room as me. Tekken may have the history, but Injustice has the Wow factor and seats nicely next to my Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition (Nintendo Wii U) game.

  2.  It's Wario Time.

I will start off with the 12 single player games first, which are as follows. 1. Arrow - You must shoot Mecha Wario Minions with arrows and use the GamePad as a shield, in order to avoid connonball attacks. The sneeze attack is amusing, but this game lacks the depth of The Legend Of Zelda - Battle Quest on Nintendo Land. 2. Camera - You are given 5 people which you must find and take photographs of within a set time limit. I found this game to be fun and the first stage takes place in a city landscape. 3. Ski - This game plays the same as Captain Falcons Twister Race. In the time attack mode the camera behind your skier, changes to different angles all the time on the tv screen. So it's best to play this game watching the GamePad screen instead, which is a birds eye view perspective. I also play game with the GamePad the other way around, so that left is left and right is right. Ski Bunny Slopes mode keeps the camera in the same position, which makes playing game whilst watching the tv screen much easier. 4. Patchwork - Join pieces of Patchwork together, like a jigsaw puzzle. My 8 year old daughter enjoys this mini game. 5. Kung Fu - Guide your kung fu man onto different platforms to his master, who jumps automatically nonstop. The levels get increasing more difficult and there are hidden scrolls along your way to find. You can see the shadow of your kung fu man on the Gamepad screen, which makes landing after a jump easier. 6. Gamer - This game had one of my friends and myself in stitches. It's 9 Volts bedtime and you must help him play loads of bizarre mini games on the Gamepad whilst keeping one eye on the tv screen, because your mum may enter your bedroom any minute. If she catches you playing it's game over and if run out of lives it's game over as well. You hide under your bed covers, if you think your mum is just about to enter your bedroom.
    7. Ashley - You are a witch who must fly her broom and collect candy for points. I enjoyed guiding the witch through the candy filled levels. 8. Design - This mini game enabled me to use my Miiverse drawing skills to design robots etc. 9. Taxi - You are a taxi driver who has partner, which shoots down ufo's with his bazooka. When the ufo's have been shot down you must pick up the different animals and people and take them to a safe place, before the mothership arrives. Your final attack is on the mothership. 10. Pirates - You need to block arrows with the GamePad lifted upwards from left, right, above and straight in front of you. It helps if you have good rhythm with this mini game. 11. Bird - There are falling seeds which you need to eat with your birds extra long tongue. If a seed hits the floor, then that piece of ground gets destroyed. When a seed lands on your birds head it's game over. 12. Bowling - When bowling you hold your Gamepad sideways and tilt it left and right to guide the ball. The stylus is used to lunch the ball. Last of all we have the mulitplayer mode that consist of 4 different mini games, which are as follows. 1. Art Work - You are give a word to draw and the other players must guess what has been drawn. 2. Disco - Two players hold Gamepad either side in a rapid rhythm fight off. 3. Islands - This is my favourite Game And Wario mulitplayer game, where you lunch Fronks from a net onto to a small island with numbers. There is a seagull which helps or interferes with your progress. 4. Fruit - One player is a thief who must steal fruit amongst a crowd of people. The other players are agents which must try and spot the thief stealing the fruit. Overall Game And Wario makes good use of the GamePad, but Nintendo Land has been out for six months and did this better in my humble opinion.

  3.  The Croods is a pretty good Mario Party clone.

I've got both Mario Party 9 and Wii Party on the Wii, which my family and myself really enjoy playing together. When my eight year old daughter saw the Croods game for the Wii U was a similar style game, she asked to have this game for her birthday. She is also a big fan of The Croods film as well.
Anyway you get to play as seven different characters from the movie which are as follows: Grug, Eep, Guy, Thunk, Shandy, Ugga and Gran. They all make funny comments as you play the game and Grug is voiced by Nicolas Cage. The main mode is called Trailblazer in which up to four people can play. You take it turns at rolling a dice and the first one to finish wins, but along your way you will play mini games and can use special items on eachother.
There is another mode called Hunter Gatherer which plays similar to Trailblazer, but it's the player who has the most eggs before the time or turn limit runs out that wins. There are five boards for you to have fun on which are Desert, Jungle, The Gorges, Coral Fields and Tomorrow. If you just want to play the mini games then there is quick game and tournament mode. There is also a gallery where you can unlock art from the making of the game and stills from the film as well.
The party games are great fun which range from Cave Painter, Corn Rocket Ride, Croods Bowling, Popcorn Punch, Rama Ram You and many more.
There are 30 mini games all together which might sound a lot, but both Mario Party 9 and Wii Party have 80 mini games each. That is more then double and is the only reason why I didn't score The Croods Prehistoric Party any higher. If you can pick this game up cheap then it's well worth getting, because you will have good fun in four player mode with your family. This game will keep my family going until Wii Party U, which is due out this October.

  4.  We lucky Wii U owners get the best Lego game of all time!

Lego City: Undercover has a beautiful open world for us to explore. The storyline is very funny and clever, infact this game has made me laugh more then any other. Like other people have already said, this really is like a GTA game for families. You are a cop arresting bad guys, instead of being a criminal doing bad things to cops.
There are loads of cool secret Nintendo characters/items to find. This game uses the GamePad well, but I was slightly disappointed that I couldn't play the game on the Gamepad only. Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition (Nintendo Wii U) has many cool Gamepad features whilst playing on the tv, but it also allowed you to play without the need of the tv as well.
Anyway the controls for the cars and Chase McCain are spot on. Lego City is a pretty easy game like other Lego games, which means younger/casual gamers should be able to complete it as well. My main issue is the long and many loading screens, which does stop the flow of the game a little. Lego City is one of the best games for the Wii U at the moment, which is a exclusive and should not be missed.

  5.  Vampire Weekend's 3rd album is another 5 star delight!

The opening track Obvious Bicycle has that familiar Vampire Weekend sound, that we all fell in love with. Overall Moderern Vampires Of The City has a slightly darker edge to it then the last two albums, but I'm glad to say that feel good factor of their music is still there in the main. There are no weak tracks here, but other stand out songs for myself are as follows: Unbelievers, Diane Young, Hannah Hunt, Everylasting Arms and Ya Hey.
This is a contender for the best album of the year so far and I hope it gets the success it deserves.

  6.  A excellent racing game which looks stunning!

I'm pleased to say that Criterion put that extra effort into Most Wanted and got the game looking more on par with the PC version, then the other console versions. The city landscape which you drive around is huge and there are lots of different things to find and do. In the main game the list is as follows:

    1. Events = 61
    2. Most Wanted Cars for you to beat and take-down = 10
    3. Number of car to find and drive = 41
    3. Jack Spots = 123
    4. Billboards to be smashed = 156
    5. Speed cameras to be triggered = 66
    6. Secuity gates to be smashed = 135

Also with the Wii U ultimate speed pack there is a extra 5 cars to be found, 25 additional challenges and 70 more milestones. There is one more most wanted car for you to defeat too. The game can be played in full on the Wii U Gamepad which is always a bonus, if someone wants to watch the tv when you are a middle of a race etc.
Most Wanted plays similar to the amazing Burnout series which were by Criterion as well. The handling of the cars took a bit of getting use to with the Gamepad and for when things get to tough the traffic can be switched off. The speed of this game is very impressive, especially when you use the nitro.
There is a strange Co-Driver mode, where two people control the same car using different controllers. The online multiplayer is great fun and works well. If you have Miiverse friends that own this game as well, then you can see their times for each event and overall score etc. This makes the game very competitive as you get updates when someone beats your time. For all you Mario fans, keep an eye out for the large green pipes ;-)
Overall this is the best one player racing game on the Wii U at the moment. If you want offline multiplayer racing game with your friends and family, then try Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed: Limited Edition which is great fun as well.

  7.  This is the purr-fect family film which will make you laugh!

I really enjoyed the first Cats And Dogs film which came out in 2001. Lets talk about Cats and Dogs 2 which takes the micky out of many different films such as Kitty Galore and Paws her hench man which is taken from the James Bond films. One of the ladies in James Bond was called Pussy Galore and the cat Paws has metal teeth like the hench-man Jaws. I won't tell you any of the other films it pokes fun at because I don't want to ruin the many surprises for you. My five year old daughter loved this film and so did my partner and myself.
The special effects are very impressive and I liked the way, the cats and dogs had to work together as team to defeat Kitty Galore and stop her evil plan.

  8.  A fun animated film for the whole family to enjoy.

Sammy's Great Escape is a very good squeal to the excellent A Turtle's Tale: Sammy's Adventure. Like Turtle's Tale there is a good message within the story and of lots humour. I found the seagulls especially funny when they were attacking the humans. There are some simiarites in the story with Finding Nemo. Where the adult turtle's have been taken by humans and are trapped inside a large underwater aquarium, like Nemo was trapped inside a fish tank and also taken away by a human. Also in both stories other members of their families come to the rescue with friends that they have made along their journeys. Anyway it's a enjoyable sea world adventure film and my seven year daughter can't wait for the dvd to come out.

  9.  A film which all the family and video game fans will enjoy!!

The character Wreck-It Ralph is a lovable one. He has spent 30 years being the bad guy and now for once in his life he wants to be the good guy. So he jumps into other arcade games, which are all linked to the same network in search of a medal. There are many classic video game characters to look out for such as Pacman, Ryu, Sonic and Bowser. There are some cool game references for all us video game nerds, to enjoy on his fun journey. The animation is very good and the story has a great heart, with some laugh out loud moments. The only thing that disappointed me slightly is that Ralph and friends didn't get to explore more arcade games. All you gamers may like to know that Wreck-It Ralph is a playable kart racer, in the excellent racing game Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed: Limited Edition on the Wii U. Anyway my seven year old daughter and myself give this film the big thumbs up and remember don't go turbo ;-)

  10.  Lets your childrens imaginations run wild!

My seven year old daughter and niece are both in love with this game and don't want to put it down. You are able to create formees by using lots of shapes and combining them together in many different ways. The formee can be taken on quests where you search dungeons and find treasure. The platform action is easy and ideal for younger players. Sometimes your formees will have fun battles with other formees, that you find on your quest. You can even create secnery for the levels of what you explore, which is pretty cool stuff indeed. You can also exchange your formees through StreetPass. Most children love drawing and making things and it's, even more fun, to have your creations come to life in a game. Freakyforms Deluxe has been the biggest 3DS hit with my daughter since the Nintendogs and Cats game.
