  1.  Simply Stunning !

    Posted:

This is simply an amazing and stunning metal album from the mighty Battle Beast. Some people had serious question marks when the band were forced last year to find a replacement for the fabulous Nitte Valo and what a replacement they have found ! The new vocalist is quickly becoming a genuine metal goddess, the amazingly talented Noora Louhimo has such a great range and is a true metal singer. For those who love the classic metal style with a modern twist and high quality production then this is most definitely for you.

I had the chance to listen to this a number of times on pre-listen and I was hooked immediately. The whole band perform well, but above all full credit has to go to the genius behind this band, Anton Kabanen, lead guitarist and master song writer he has delivered the basics to enable the whole band to deliver a tight and dynamic album.

The influences from Accept to Judas Priest to Iron Maiden are all discreetly in there but above all these are classy songs, some great riffs and songs you want to play over and over again, oh plus the vocals, god the great vocals !!!!

This is the second full album for Battle Beast and without a doubt a real step up, the first album was great but this pushes them to a new level. Lets hope they get the credit they deserve and for now I am just excited to have this simply stunning album in my collection !!! Seriously buy this and take note that The Beast really have arrived ! Play it Loud.

  2.  U.D.O. - Classic Heavy Metal at its best

Udo Dirkschneider is the lead vocalist and Stefan Kaufmann the lead guitarist, both of them left Accept and have formed this first class Heavy Metal act. Rev Raptor is an album that simply will not let you down.

U.D.O. have a tried and tested formula and existing fans will absolutely love it, its classic heavy metal, kind of reminds me of Judas Priest with power riffs and cracking solos, but I just love Udo's growling vocals.

If you want something new in your collection and want to hear some pounding metal that is only meant to be played on volume 10 then go for this, yes there is the regular one album ballad. but even that is just a little respite before the onslaught continues, long live metal, long live UDO !!!

  3.  The name of the album says it all

This is truly a fantastic metal album, well produced, brilliant guitar work from start to finish and the vocals are crisp. If you love power metal then this is a great addition to your catalogue, if you dont then sorry its not for you.

  4.  5 star is not enough

The Mutts Nuts, awesome, game of 2009 without question - Says it all !!!!

  5.  Vocal Metal Legend hits top form

    Posted:

For those who remember Accept from the late 80's into the 90's you will also remember the growling vocals of the strutting legendary front man that is UDO. This is an album that has great chugging guitar riffs and a solid metal sound throughout, a couple of ballads but all in all pure metal. Turn up that volume and enjoy the ride. For those of you out there that like Juda Priest, Saxon, Maiden, BFMV, ACDC then this is well up your street - Wimp rock it ain't ! - enjoy !!!!

  6.  Screaming brilliant

Load your CD and just sit back as you hear some great metal riffs, superb mix and a range of fantastic new songs, you can see the influences, opening with a touch of Metallica in the vocals, but then the middle sections often show some clever guitar work and catchy melodies, personally you can either over analyse this or just ramp up the volume and just enjoy what is a great metal album, Worth the money for sure !
