It is impossible to some up this book into one review.....but i'll give it a go. Since i read the first page of the first book all those years ago i was hooked. The idea that all this magic could happen under 'muggle' noses doesn't seem believable......but it is! Can you imagine the feeling you would have finding out your a wizard only to discover your parents died because of who they were? Well if you havn't, this will show you. Most of the world has followed Harry from when he was very small, and stuck by him all the way, never leaving him, which is why we could never wait until the next book, and had to read the older ones to get that same inspiring magical feeling you get when you read them.
We cheered when Harry discovers his life at Hogwarts, upset when we discovered his parents will never come back. Cheered when he defeated Voldermort/Quirrel, and then upset becuase we had to wait for the next book. This formula has taken us right the way through till the last......and wow it was so, so, so, worth the wait.
Their will never be an ending book or series like this one. Their are so many twist and turns, clever writing, the way you can interpret it, the feelings of emotion you have when reading.
You can't put any of them down, and when you have to (because you have finished them) you wished you hadn't. All the questions and theories are answered. Everything you have ever wanted/dreamed/expected to happen does. The ending is spectacular, and is not an anticlimax in anyway, because thats the way it was ment to end.
No matter how old you are, or what your personality, or how silly the idea of magic may sound to you, this is the only series of books you will ever need to read, as anything after it will seem very, very poor. I cannot wait for the final two films, and i pray that the producers and J.K do the books proud, and make some real good jaw dropping films......just like the books.
