Gears Of War (Classics)

This game is insane! It came out years before Halo 3 and COD4, but personlly I prefer Gears to both of these. The cover is system is soo well made, (compared to Rainbow 6's cover system where I must say is appalling) with covering you can actually use tactics where as in Halo the main tactic was run into fights spray spray spray, grenade and finally melee. Yawn. They ruined Halo :( Sad but true Halo 3 was meant to be great I found it extremely average. Storyline was good (still prefer Halo 1 though) and online was rather tedious.
Anyway, back to Gears. Epic have done an great job with gears, people say the graffics are all-right, but I would strongly disagree with that, the graffics are TERRIFIC! The blood that comes from an enemy when you rip them in two with your chainsaw bayonet, its just soooo cool. GoW has the cool factor 'popping' someones head never loses its appeal as when you do 'pop' someones head off, their head really does come off! Their limp body will be left to fall to the floor.
The story is O.K and I would recomend that you play it before going online, just to get used to the control system and the covering. The online just takes this game to a new level admittedly a few more game types would be great but the 4 v 4 deathmatch formatt is still enjoyable.
I would reccomend this game to anyone, who enjoys shot em up's ( First person or thrid ) as it is amazing and stood the test of time as even after being out for 2 years loads of people still play online. And for only £18.99, seriously what are you waiting for! This game is a must have for Xbox 360 owners.
World Of Warcraft

Be Warned, WoW takes away your LIFE! No more going out with mates, no more playing the 360, Wii or PS3, World Of Warcraft will take your life... WoW is one of those 'marmite' games you either love it or you hate it...
Personally I love it, sometimes... Gameplay is really exellent until your brother starts downloading and you start lagging... ( but thats a personal problem )Graffics are O.K some people say they look bad but with a decent computer/ graffics card they look pretty good ( not up to guild wars standard, but gameplay is soo much better ). The interface is very user friendly and after a while I found the controls easy. You get a great range of races and classes which I think is the main advantage ahead of Guildwars. I mean it must get boring in a FANTASY game to have to be a human every single time!
PvP or Player v Player combat is just THE BEST! As soon as I hit level 11 I just love playing Warsong Gulch (WSG) it's a 10 v 10 battleground where the objective is to take the opponents flag and capture it 3 times to win (basically capture the flag) But with the unique skills each class uses you will never get bored.
You may say whats the difference between my mage and any other mage? Well the anwser is simple... TALENTS! Each class has 3 sets of talents some people like to focus on 1 talent set or you could even spread out your talents over all 3, either way you get a complete different gaming experience every time.
The only question mark above this brilliant game is £8.99 a month. I'm not going to give a definite anwser one way or the other because it's a decision that can only be made by the individual. Is WoW worth the money?

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Game Of The Year Edition)

Being a Halo kid a new really got into any of the Call of Duty's but after my whole friends list was on 'COD4' I decided it was time to give it a go.
I was glad that I did as i found the story good but was very dissapointed with the lack of co-op options. I then decided to play a 1v1 against my bro which wasn't great either, (you can't use your own classes) but then I went online and after a few hours of getting completely owned with kill to death of about 1-10 I finally got it! Everything clicked into place I was owning with my MP5 and I felt soooo cool as I sneaked up behind a sniper in their gilly suit and stabbed them! Once you get the hang of this game it is just QUALITY! Online is good unless you are unlucky enough to run into American's who just completely 'sponge' you then turn you and spray P90 in your face. The maps are mostly good and the game is generally built very well with all weapons being pretty evenly matched (except of course the dreaded P90).
Call of Duty 4 has completely converted me to COD from Halo and I will be pre-ordering my copy of COD5 and sitting by the letter-box waiting for the mail-man!
Sorry for getting carried away but Call Of Duty 4 has just changed my opinion of Shoot 'em ups, I used to question the low health and the quick respawns claiming wheres the fun in killing someone over and over again? But trust me it's sooo addictive and I love it! I do still believe that Gears Of War is king for satisfaction in killing, I mean when you 'pop' someones head in Gears it comes off and you get recognition for it (unless you are an active 'pro') but in COD you spray a wall and it comes up with the headshot symboll and you barely notice it, which is slightly boring.
Overall COD4 is the best 1st Person Shooter out, forget Halo they ruined it after the first one. COD is where it's AT! Deffinately worth the (annoyingly) high price tag as you do get 4 new maps (the four best) which cost about £8 anyway.
Hope this helps and I look forward to playing you online!

I played the demo of this 'game'. I was looking for a new RPG game (online on play) and accidently clicked onto this shocker of a game. Then I read the reviews for it...How can you sleep at night knowing that you have given this shocker of a game a good review? My only explanation is that the games creaters reviewed it.The demo lasts an hour which was un-needed as I had had enough of this game after 5 minutes. After working out what the bloody hell was going on I ran into a monster: These monsters should be scary or at the very least intimidating but i found them incredibly childish and almost laughed as they jumped towards me in perfect sync.Your characters are immencely powerful and with some moves you can kill even bosses in 1 hit.I found the method of attacking very strange you have to stop a strange red bar in n a tiny slot with a monsters head in.At one point I decided to heal my team of small 11 year olds but ended up healing the monsters. But no matter I used my super powerful shadow attack and decimated all of em anyway.Sounds confusing eh? It is trust me.
If you have £40 lying around PLEASE don't waste it on this game donate it to a chartiy, even feed it to your dog just PLEASE don't use it to buy this 'game'. As if you do buy this game the games creaters may get the foolish impresion that they made a half decent game, and we don't want that do we? Or they may do something stupid like make a sequel.Sorry for the rantLots of loveHaYes(Gamertag- I Hayes I: Please feel free to message me and i will slag BD off some more)
