  1.  i will probably receive abuse for this...

    (Re-edit of original review)
Many months ago I wrote a pretty bad review. Views along the line of "This is a bold statement but this could very well be his worst album bar kill uncle". etc etc. But in those few months I have warmed to the album slightly. It's an Ok album. It's not Morrissey I have the problem with on this album.

His voice is pretty bloody good on this. And his lyircs are still a force to be reckoned with at times. But, I hate to say it (what with the unfortunate death of Jerry Finn), I just feel this album is produced in a fashion, completely at a tangent as to how it should have been. Musically it's all a bit 'samey'; the guitars for one are not adding anything particularly new other than a bit of a punch. Which is a bit of a shame really considering the immense talents of all musicians involved. I just....oh I dont know! I'm just not mad about the production on it. But maybe I'm just so in love with the production on the likes of Viva Hate & Vauxhall.....

To sum up, its not as bad as I orignally thought.

  2.  excellent album!

Fantastic stuff. Its an album i cant stop listening to. The same winning formula is here with a few nice twists. Especially on lucid dreams with its amazing synth break. And even the extra disc has some choice remixes & dub versions.
