  1.  Troy Directors cut

    A great film by a great director,made better with the added extras,the battle scenes are excellent,with great scenes and locations.
    The extras are well worth watching to see just what hell the cast and crew went through with the weather extremes,credit especially for completely rebuilding the huge city walls after they were destroyed.
    Highly recommended!!

  2.  Jack at his usual best!!!!

    For a film that portrays a serious illness,this has some very funny and moving parts,Jack as usual is the main man with Morgan as the grease monkey,both meet in one of Jacks hospitals,where they have to share a room.

    In a film that portrays one of the most serious ailments there is much to cherish.

    Highly recommended!!!

  3.  Fearless-- HD DVD

    Jet Li's final film,and a good one it is too!!!
    Based on a true story about China's finest martial artist at the start of the 20th century,brilliantly filmed and shot using as few cgi techniques as possible this is Wushu at it's best!!!

    Although there is better detail than the dvd it is not a disc for showing the format off,good but not brilliant,the fight sequences are fantastic and as good as if not better than Fist of legend.

    Overall-highly recommended,especially so at this bargain price!!!!!

  4.  SIMPLY THE BEST !!!!!

    The last of the great 70mm analogue films and one that was well ahead of its time.

    Initally slated at the box office with poor reviews,this film has matured with age,at the time "Cuddly" films were in with ET leading the way,this dark masterpiece was too much for some viewers/reviewers.

    This is more than just a great film with every conceivable extra delving into its depths.

    You really must own this version,it is simply stunning!!!

  5.  GREMLINS BOX SET

    A good box set and one that takes me back to their original releases,Gremlins is the best and my favourite part are when they are carol singing outside mrs Deagles.

    The new batch is ok but not as good as the first film,looses a mark overall due to the transfer being little better than vhs quality.

    Series two is different to series one in two main themes

    1--- A different "LeaderTed Hoffman (Daniel Benzali) is away and the associates need a new leader,step forward James Wyler played to perfection by Anthony La Paglia.

    2--Three,rather than one case,easier to follow but overall not as gripping.

    Awonderful second series with a few departures and arrivals but imho in many ways not a patch on the original,Why-Simple really as good as La Paglia is he has neither the presence nor authority of Benzali,not that i'm saying his acting is not as good,it is it's just that as the head of the defence case Benzali is/was utterly ruthless,La Paglia plays the more "Laid back guy" and good as he is just does not come across as convincing as Benzali.
    Recommended most highly but as with most things,not as good as the original!!!

  8.  Bargain box set!!!

    One of the best boxed sets i own,and one which every fan of x-men should purchase.
    The first film introduces us to the characters with the Wolverine being my favourite,we learn about each of the mutants powers and a little about the Professor and his nemesis Magneto.

    The second film continues on a similar vein and introduces us to new characters,the action is better and we learn more about the main players from the first film.

    The third installment whilst the weakest of the three readeams itself by having the best sound(More on that later)here it plays on a different theme with the "Cure" of mutants and the pros and cons of such a precident.

    We see the destructive power of the most powerful of the mutants(Jean Grey) and the sad death of Scott and the Professor,also Magnetos manipulation of the Golden Gate bridge is awesome and not to be missed.

    The three suppliment discs contain all the extras one would ever want and back to the sound i mentioned.

    The first two discs give you the option of dolby digital or the superior dts digital format,the third disc has THREE options vanilla DD,DD EX 0r my favourite DTS ES.

    All the transfers are stunning and on a very good player and monitor combo show just how good SD can be.

    Highly recommended!!!

  9.  A FUTURE CLASSIC !!!!!!!

    A great spectacle,not for the faint-hearted!!!

    Shot to be as close to Frank Millers version as possible-very similar to the comic book.

    An excellent tester for your home theatre system,and wonderfully shot using dark shading as well as colour expanses when needed,obviously due to the type of film it is much cgi is used but this never gets in the way of the story,some great features on the second disc and the usual deleated scenes.

    Overall,highly recommended.

  10.  A GREAT FILM !!

    The last in the series but by no ways the least.
    Here we see the rescue of Han from Jabba's palace and the death of Bobba Fett,also we see a sad tale with Yoda going to that great Force in the sky,as Luke makes his return to see his Master.
    A great film in it's day and i still enjoy watching it,the Re-mastered version is better as at the end we get to see Anakin as a young man stood next to Obi-Wan and Yoda rather than the older version from the original film.
    The best part is the bargain price it's now on offer for (£5) what a steal!!!!
