  1.  Snorefest

this is awful and boring, the blu ray version is basically watching a black screen for 2:30 hours, to much hype and not enough action. pointless splitting it in to two, cause all the scene are dragged out to film the 5 hours time frame overall.

why bother, i can spend a much more spellbinding evening with some fairy lights and a torch

  2.  a must have album

alexisonfire are my all time fave band and this album is a corker. guitarist wade macneil seems to nail is on the first song.

in crisis hearing him shout "this is from our hearts" sends shivers down my spine everytime

and this time in the song old crows, again wade's smokey voice shouting "we are not the kids we use to be" sets the tone on the album.

a main difference is Georges vocal style. he's going from his barks of anger to a more growling voice which works with the guitar riffs, which seem rather less precise as they were in crisis, but still amazing.

some alexis fans have slated this album saying it's rubbish they have changed their sound, but every young band should be given a chance to grow up, this is the sound they were hoping for, and i'm happy when their happy.

i saw some of the songs playing live when i went to the 3 london boarderline shows and they fit in perfectly in to the set and they are well worth checking out at reading or leeds, or on thier tour with anti flag in october.

    the highlights are

    Old crows
    Sons of privledge
    Emereld street
    accept crime

reading the other review by Sophie Stratford

just to clarify alexisonfire are canadian not american and they make this clear in the song "sons or privledge"

"sweet lady liberty, your are lost yet you are free, and what hides beneith, can't tell the wolves from the sheep"

  3.  Very Disappointing

This has nothing compared to Guitar Hero. Graphically Guitar hero is better and gameplay guitar hero is better again, the fender strat is an aweful guitar and the buttons feel horrible, the drums are pointless, any metal drummer who has the game will find the bass pedel will break and the sound track, big as it may be doesn't contain any really good rock and metal gems. i played this game on launch day, and every song i played was on expert and that weren't at all difficult, which defeats the object. Guitar Hero 4 has anything that rock band has and more and the drums have symbol pads, lol thought at the end of the day, i play bass and guitar as well as drums ( not at the same time ) and i play Bass and sing back up vocals in a band anyway, so i rather make my own music, then play this.
