Great colour and quality and fits snug to the skin.

I love this jacket. It is quite light but has so far kept me bone dry and is good at keeping the wind out too.

The jacket has got a proper hood made of the same material as the rest of the coat complete with a double thickness peak to help keep it out your eyes. The hood rolls up easily into the collar where it is fixed with Velcro, this makes the collar quite chunky but I like the style.

There are two felt lined zippable side pockets to keep your hands warm and a zippable inside pocket for your wallet or phone. The cuffs are have got velco straps so you can keep them tight.

I am 6 foot tall with a medium build and the Large is a great fit for me it is slightly tailored around the waist too. There is an adjustable drawstring around the bottom of the coat if you need a snug fit.

It says it can be machine washed although I have not tried this yet.

  3.  Suberb style and smart substance.

The book is structured like a Russian doll with six distinct stories nestled within each other.

I thought the book would probably turn out to be just a gimmicky self-indulgent exercise in structure. My pessism was entirely unwarranted. Mitchell has a fantastic writing style. To be more accurate he can write fantastically in many different styles.

The sextet of stories display Mitchell's mastery of different genres and voices. I liked all the stories whether they were sci-fi, thrillers or historical.

The book is well written, intelligent and playful. In fact I enjoyed it so much I've gone on and read all his others.

    Great book, great writer.

I originally bought one for travelling with - something small and robust to make fresh coffee in hotel rooms. Having tried it out, I now use it in preference to my cafetieres. It makes good tasting coffee, it's fast and it's extremely easy to clean.

One of my favourite films. Hilarious and gripping. Don't let the subject matter put you off, you don't have to be a geek to love it. I've recommended it to loads of people, both male and female, and they've all loved it.

  6.  Superb

This is the second book in Gibson's 1980's Sprawl trilogy. The first being the ground breaking Neurormancer and the last being Mona Lisa Overdrive. I love all three. You don't have to read them in order but you'll get more from the books if you do. I'd also recommend his 1990's Bridge trilogy: Virtual Light, Idoru and All Tomorrow's Parties.

  7.  Most despairing song ever?

    Posted:

This was written by the Hungarian composer Rezso Seress after a difficult break up with his lover. After it became a best seller Seress tried to get back with his ex-lover and she promptly poisoned herself leaving a suicide note with just two words: 'Gloomy Sunday'. The song was rumoured to have been implicated in numerous suicides and soon became known as 'The Suicide Song'. Beautifully sung by Billie, if you're in the mood for some hard core despairing, buy this. I love it.

This is an update to Richter's earlier book on .net 1.0. The first one was such a favourite I had to buy this as well and was very glad I did. I refer to it often to remind myself of the subtleties and under the cover behaviour of c#. It's not a beginner's book - it digs satisfyingly deep.
