  1.  In love with this coat!

    I've been searching for a parka with a fur hood, and this one was exactly what I wanted. At GBP25 (reduced from GBP90) it's an absolute bargain, and it looks fantastic. I got a size 14 (L) as I'm usually a 12 and prefer my coats to be loose, and this one is so comfortable and roomy. It's nice and warm and looks great with anything. A few reviews mention that the pockets are very thin, but if you're wearing gloves it's no problem. Definitely worth buying!

  2.  Great present for the hubby

    This is the only thing my husband wanted for Christmas, and luckily I managed to get it from Play.com for 22GBP in a 24 hour sale back in November :) he loves it. It was quite fiddly to put together (you need to inflate the shark first so it helps to have one person holding the shark and another attaching the bits and bobs to it) but it works well and looks brilliant floating around our living room. It was much bigger than we expected, but it didn't take very long to fill (you can buy tanks of helium in most supermarkets). I don't think I'd have spent 40GBP on it, but for 22GBP it was a bargain

  3.  At last!

    I've been awaiting the release of Rastamouse on DVD since February! My 1 year old loves it (she dances to the songs) and my husband and I secretly love to watch it with her. It's pretty funny, the storylines leave kids guessing and you learn a lot of Jamaican patois :) it's irie!

    I've been a huge fan of the Southern Vampire Mysteries for a while now, and so when 'Dead in the Family' came out I was desperate to read it. I devoured it in a day and was massively disappointed, I said "she's lost it, that was terrible." So when my husband bought me 'Dead Reckoning' this week, I was reluctant to read it. Then curiosity got the better of me and I devoured it in a few hours. What a good book! I think Dead Reckoning is one of my favourite SVM books. There's action, mystery, suspense (I was actually holding my breath at several points) and lots of humour. 'Dead Reckoning' is most definitely a page-turner, and I can see myself reading it again several times before book 12 is released. Oh, and there's a nice mucky scene for fans who like that sort of thing ;)

  5.  Disappointing

    I was seriously disappointed with Withering Tights. I first discovered Georgia Nicolson when I was 12, and faithfully bought each new book the day it was released, reading the final book aged 20. When Withering Tights was announced, I couldn't wait because I expected it to be the same style etc. It wasn't. It's nothing like Georgia Nicolson - not especially funny (I laughed maybe once or twice) very slow and the plot is rubbish. I wouldn't waste your time, unless you're desperate for a Louise Rennison fix.

    Hilarious reading. Pratchett has a terrific way of starting off several different subplots and making them weave together perfectly, all the while making his readers laugh unexpectedly every few paragraphs, or else sit on the edge of their seats in suspense. I love Mort, particularly because Death (by far my favourite character) plays a huge part. Read it!

    I couldn't help but love Twilight, and the subsequent 2 sequels, despite them being completely different from my usual taste, so I was eager to read Breaking Dawn as soon as I could. Now I wish I hadn't, what a disappointment. Stephenie Meyer seems to have forgotten her characters, who by the end of BD are not so much developed as changed into unrecognisable caricatures of themselves. And I seriously hated how everything was resolved so perfectly for every character, after all that Edward-Jacob tension she spent 2 books building up. What a waste. What a sickly sweet, happily ever after ending.

  9.  Not a bad phone

    I'm not entirely sold on touch screen phones - my boyfriend's Viewty drives me mad - so I got this phone to kind of ease myself into using them, whilst still having the familiarity of buttons.

    I found it very easy to use, a nice size, and reliable - I've had mine since June, and it's still going strong. The only problem I have is that sometimes the buttons don't work, when I'm trying to write out a text. It's only occasionally, but it still gets frustrating.

    Other than that, a good phone!
