  1.  Very Enjoyable Classic

I was shocked by how good this book is. You have to block out the Will Smith film completely from your mind. Although a book with vampires it's not about vampires. It's about a man' s struggle and turmoil being completely alone. The loneliness is palpable. The book is short but there is only so much to do and say. The ending is very fitting and stays with you. That's how good it is.

  2.  Enjoyable But Not His Best

I'm a huge James Patterson and have read many of the Dr Alex Cross series. The Weasel is the nickname for the villain and is arguably the freakiest criminal Alex Cross had had to conquer! He is freaky as he is twisted and vicious killer, yet also so normal. The Four Horseman game is very clever and disturbing. I haven't given this book 5 stars as i thought it was rather predictable. I guessed pretty much all the twists and cliffhangers which is not the norm.

  3.  What a Read!

This book will blow away new Lincoln Ryhme readers and die hard fans alike. I've read all the books in the Lincoln Rhyme series as i love the relationship between Lincoln and Amelia Sachs. Both so strong, yet both so very fragile. Their working and personal relationship is put to the highest test in Cold Moon and it does not fail to deliver a bucket full of twists and shocks. Deaver is never predictable with his plots and I think this book offers more twists and turns than any other in the Lincoln Rhyme series! A Must Read.

  4.  Beautiful Book

This is one of the most inspirational books i have ever read. Katie has come so far and she describes the journey beautifully. She has refused to be beaten by the evil men who tried to destroy her, and by the awful people who would laugh at her in the street. She has held her head up high. Well done Katie!

  5.  A Gritty Classic

This was my first Martina Cole book and I am now a huge fan. The reader gets engulfed in the Jackson world and the constant family back stabbing and torrid secrets. The Take is gritty and brutal but i couldn't put it down. I thought the ending was very fitting. I'll definetely go and read her other books!

Must Read for Mo Hayder Fans

    Posted:

Mo Hayder returns with this disturbing tale of a monster who kidnaps children. This book is heart wrenching in places as you wonder if the children are going to survive. Jack Caffery is Hayder's most interesting character. Flea Marley also returns and she is more likeable than her previous appearances in other books. Unlike some reviewers, i'm glad Hayder brought her back and gave her a chance to develop her plot. Definetely a great read and a must read if you have read the other Jack Caffrey books

  7.  Truly Inspirational

This is by far the most inspirational book i have ever read. Cupcake Brown doesn't hold back with her storytelling and reveals the brutal truth about her childhood. She went through so many harrowing experiences - drug addiction, neglect and abuse to name but a few, and somehow she manged to come out the other end. This is the ultimate tale of a survivor and everyone must read this book.

  8.  Very Disappointing Sequel

I absolutely adored Empress Orchid and was excited to read the sequel the Last Empress. It was such a disappointment. I couldn't put the first book down and was completely drawn in by Orchid, but the sequel was so pale and boring in comparision. It was very descriptive, but in a matter of fact way, like Orchid was narrating her shopping list! Endless events were told, but the emotions were left out. I really struggled throughout to keep reading it. It's such a shame that this sequel did not deliver.

  9.  Compelling Thriller

Amelia Sachs and Lincoln Rhyme return to stop a very slippery killer. This book has a Cirque du Soleil theme and the killer is not only twisted but uses vanishing acts and magic tricks to murder his unsuspecting victims. The whole circus theme is very interesting and you can tell Deaver did his homework on the subject. The killer is very difficult to catch and just when you think you can rest easy, there is a brilliant surprise! Definitely a good read.

  10.  Compelling- Best Marion Keyes Book By Far!

    Posted:

I absolutely adored this book. It probably is the darkest Marion Keyes book i've read as it tackles such a heartbreaking issue, but i think it was brave of Marion Keyes to try something a little different - and it pays off big style. Although there are distressing situations in the book, it's still very funny and extremely witty. Marian Keyes describes Anna's turmoil and confusion so deeply yet sensitively and i was rooting for Anna til the end. I loved this book and highly recommend it.
