  1.  An epitaph for a true Welsh musical legend

    Posted:

Stuart Cable is the typical valley boy who came from nothing and had the world at his feet. This is a proper rock and roll story which is all the more sad that he is no longer here. A fantastic biography that tells of Cable's life and his rise and fall from the Phonics. The guy was a legend, please read this book

  2.  The 21st Century Flintstones

    Posted:

One of the best family films of the last 12 months with real laugh out loud moments! The voice cast is brilliant and the relationship between the father and his mother-in-law is one of the best film rivalries ever! A real must see for kids and adults alike. Highly recommended

  3.  A le Bon thats good!!!

Top stuff from a singer thats been around a while, but never had the commercial recognition she deserves. A breakthrough into the Q mag top 50, this is a top record with quite different songs and styles.Starts off well and gets better! Recommended

  4.  12 Men in one room in a pure classic

This is a lesson in simplistic film making with no gimmicks or CGI, just pure storytelling, where the twists and turns of a 12 man jury deciding the life or death of a man accused of murder. Henry Fonda is simply superb in the lead role, ably supported by the rest of this superb cast. A must see for any film fan or budding director where the characters and story stand tall in this incredible piece of film making

  5.  Impossibly good

    Posted:

The fact this movie's theme is the utter devastation the Tsunami brought years ago, this move is a real tour de force about the human spirit ande endeavour. The initial disaster scene is simply horrific and puts you right into the terror of what people must have experienced. Having seen it in the cinema, it felt almost claustrophopic.. Strong character performances from Watts and McGregor, but the film is tolen by the kids who you root for throughout the film. Highly recommended

  6.  Not so much Les Mis as Les Happy!

As a 42 year old man, i was dragged to the cinema to watch this musical along with most other fellas of the same age and upwards. What surprised me was the way the movie dragged you in from the first scene kept you ther for the duration. Incredible set pieces, amazing cast and the emotion that Anne Hathaway wrung out of I Dreamed a Dream was simply amazing. Hugh Jackman played the role that was almost tailor made for him on the screen and even ended up looking like Bon Scott of ACDC towards the end. A true achievement!!! So good i watched it a second time in the cinema, this time with my 14 year daughter which proved it appealled to all audiences. A true movie spectacle

  8.  A Fitting Tribute

    Posted:

This shows what a talent the world had lost when Amy Winehouse lost her battle with alcohol. The voice is still strong and she puts her trademark on some quality covers. Donny Hathaways Song for You is given the Amy treatment and is simply superb. One for all music fans

  9.  Dont read it in The Dark

As a lover of James Herberts books which are so well written with tremendous characters and story lines, this is horrror writing at its very best. For people who think that books cant scare you, i dare you to pick this book up and read it in a night light. The best of a tremendous line in books. This is a fantastic horror read. Highly, highly recommended

  10.  Top stuff

This is a great Tim Burton film that shows grief and death in a way that makes it better for kids to appreciate. The story is great and the animation is superb. On a par with Paranorman, but this is far more quirky and a really great story. Recommended
