  1.  Life of Money

    Posted:

When you spend a 20 note, where does it go? where did it come from? who had it before and what was it used for? In Twenty Bucks the story follows a number of people whose lives come into contact through the transfer of currency. You see a number of different stories taking place, all the way from a homeless woman, to newly weds, on to criminals. The movies shows you the lives of different people and different situations. The stories all have their own uniqueness, however some are better than others; some could've even made a movie entirely on their own. It's an entertaining movie, and the idea of a single 20 dollar note connecting all these people is a unique and special idea. However, the movie lacks depth, it entertains but it doesn't have anything more. Well worth watching, not time wasted.

  2.  New look at Christianity

    Posted:

Kevin Smith brings us his twist on Christianity, namely the Catholic church. If you're strict Catholic, this is definitely not for you. The story is filled with Angels, Apostles, Demons and all kinds of biblical magic. The story has a lot to it, it keeps you guessing and keeps you watching from the start to end. In typical Kevin Smith style, there's a lot of dark comedy, and even more controversial comedy. There is a lot of controversial things said as regards Christianity, God and the idea of belief and faith. It's entertaining and might just make you think a little bit. Worth Watching.

  4.  Touching

The beginning of the movie is a little slow, there's not a lot happening and it generally takes a while to get going. But once it starts flowing it's all good clean sailing. The story takes shape with three companions on their journey, there's laughs and jokes between the three characters who all have very different personalities. The three fit well together and bring all the laughs along with them. The ending of the movie is very touching, it'll bring a few viewers to tears as it's done just right! Recommend watching this movie, it's slow to get going but once it starts it's a ride you'll wish never stopped.

  10.  Cowboys and Slavery

Tarantino returns all guns blazing with Django, the story of a slave on a quest to find his wife, but on his journey will not be simple, and he certainly won't keep his hands clean. It's your typical Tarantino movie, it has the cool lines, the qitty humour, and packs a punch whenever the action gets heated. Leonardo DiCaprio steals the show, although his part is smaller than some of the other cast members, his performance leaves a lasting impression, his portrayal of the psychotic plant owner who won't lose. Django is an entertaining movie, not Tarantino's best but still better than a lot of movies out there.
