Marvel: Ultimate Alliance
3 New from
This game is pretty much your average beat-em-up. Nothing too spectacular about it. However, it's length, and the ability to form a party from any marvel comic characters you would ever want to, makes up for that. Also, I found the plot to be surprisingly good.
The game plays very much like X-men Legends. Some parts of the game are almost exactly like Legends... there's no doubt that Ultimate Alliance was "moulded" around that of X-men Legends.
I'm not a collector of marvel comic books... i mean, i like the movies and stuff, but that's about it. There are tons of marvel superheroes and supervillains that you'll have never heard of... which makes it all the more fun to discover them!
Overall, a good, solid game which can be played for hours. You may find yourself going back to the game to complete it with a new set of superheroes.
Buy this if you like Marvel comics/films, X-men Legends, and beat-em-up games in general!
Thumbs up from me!
The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess

I am a big fan of the Zelda series, and having not owned a gamecube or N64 in the past and so being unable to play many of the bigger zelda titles (such as ocarina of time and the windwaker), i relished the chance to play a 3D one when i bought the Wii.
It didn't disappoint. This is one of the best games i have ever played. I found myself playing it for hours on end.
The controls are one of the best things about this game. From thrusting forward with your shield, to hacking at your opponent, most of the controls make use of the Wii's unique motion detector abilities. Sadly, there are some attacks that consist of pressing buttons, but all in all it doesn't make it much worse.
The one thing i could find fault in this game was the lack of difficulty. After i had finished the game i looked back on the difficulty, and once i thought about it, the only times i ever died were from accidentally jumping off a cliff, or into a pool of lava etc. - none of the enemies were ever difficult. Sure, there are some moments when you get frustrated because you can't land a hit on that one swordsman with the massive shield, but after you keep at it for a while, it's easy. That said though, i never thought about it while i was playing it and i thoroughly enjoyed the whole game and was disappointed when i finished it.
I'd say the game would take about 25 - 30 hours to complete the main story, but then of course there is all the side quests and minigames. From fishing to finding poe's to steal their souls, to trying to find that last golden bug... this game is full of sidequests that will have you tearing your hair out if you choose to pursue them.
All in all, this is one of the best games i have ever bought, and would recommend it to any fans of adventure/RPG games.
A fine addition to your Wii collection!
