  1.  Unbelievably good

Clever, fun, scary, thrilling, exciting, tear-jerking, heart breaking, imaginative, enthralling and quite frankly the most beautiful film of 2009. I've never been to a cinema where over 400 people can cry their eyes out to 10 minutes later, laughing their heads off. It's for everyone. Not just a kids film. It's a good film which is animated and to be honest, it's better than nearly all over films this year. Buy it. You won't regret it.

  2.  THE film of 2009

I bought this on the day of release. It's fantastic. Fast paced, non stop, clever, bloody, action packed, emotional, fun, challenging- it has more imagination in it's little finger than a whole host of other sci-fi films this year. Blomkamp is clever man- he shoots handheld like Cloverfield and Blair Witch- but there is more plausibility why they keep filming as it's all part of MNU documentary but I mean there are points where an eyebrow is raised. However, this film is personal. You care for CGI aliens (very well designed ones nonetheless) and you care for their cause. Wikus is a bit of an idiot when we meet him but we go through what he goes through- including the rather squeamish sequence of the fingernails. All who have seen the film know what i mean. I love district 9. It has balls to be honest. It goes for it. IT kills people without a second thought. No long soliloquy to camera- they are gone, they are dead. With a tiny budget- some scenes look slightly dodgy but I mean all things considered. It's a work of brilliance. Buy it. Enough said.

  3.  Fun but not perfect

Hellboy 2 is brimming with ideas. It doesn't stop. Guillermo is fascinated with the fantasy world around him. One scene through the market shows how much Guillermo cares for his creations- it's a brilliant almost adult Diagon Ally. The cast are superb - although at times Luke Goss is weak. Furthermore, one problem is the dialogue sometimes is weak- almost where it's been translated out of context- it's nowhere near Pan's Labyrinth excellence but it's a fun romp and for 3 pounds it's a bargain

  4.  One of best films of 2009. Seriously

I followed the hype for Star Trek a lot and was really excited for it. I wasn't disappointed at all. So when it came out on DVD, I jumped at the chance of having it. I mean most time I wait for film to get to like 6 or 7 quid cos they're good but I can wait. But this is THAT good. Action packed. For all ages. Great plot. Great casting. Eye candy for both genders. And you can watch it again. Pick up in jokes and great dialogue. It's really good. I was no trekkie before, but hey, I am now :)

  5.  Excellent opening, Good acting, good film

Lord Of War has one of the greatest opening sequences to a film in modern years. The following of a bullet puts across a message without being patronising and hits home to the viewer. Nicholas Cage is very good as the cold arms dealer and has good support from Ethan Hawke and Jared Leto and Ian Holm. Good film, great lines and excellent message. 4/5

  6.  Underrated good fun

Guillermo Del Toro follows up the orignal Hellboy with this great and imaginative film. It's like a grown up Diagon Alley. Goblins and devils, very little CGI, just pure fun. Some bits are childish and the story is a td thin. However, the cast have fun and it's the best use of a Barry Manilow song in a film ever. 4/5. Solid entertainment.

  7.  Brilliant

I'm not overstating this but this movie is unbelievable. The acting is superlative- Heath Ledger is a Joker for the 21st century and a charcter that will live on in the ages of film. Christian Bale, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman and Maggie Gyllenhall all bring their A game and it shows. I mean just look at the cast list i've just written down that enough improves the movie from the off. The set pieces are outstanding one lasting approximately 20 minutes. It's made $400 million in America alone in 18 days, 25 days faster than the previous record holder of Shrek 2 by a massive 25 days. That says everything you need to know, it has made millions as it is the best film of the year. NUFF SAID.

  8.  TERRIBLE

I work at a cinema so i see nearly all films that come out and so far this film has the honour of being the worst film of 2008. Terrible acting, shocking plot, unbelievably bad cinematogrophy. Basically I saw this for free at the cinema but if i paid money i would ask for my money back and it is definitely not worth £12.99 of anyone's money

  9.  OK nothing more nothing less than OK

FIrst half- Funny, interesting and Will Smith has the greatest fun he's had in ages. Second half-jesus what happened to this fun comedy, it turns into a full blown drama which no one expects or wants. However, the music's pretty good especially the bit at the of the credits. Well played John Powell and Will Smith. Bad man Peter Berg

  10.  Look up

I watched this film because I@m fascinated by the moon. I was not expecting something earth-shattering but overall I was quite humbled. I watched this and I realised that it doesn't matter if they did or didn't it's the humanity of the astronauts which gives this documentary its gravitas. And it made me look up and think, wow only 12 people have ever walked on the moon and you know what it made me smile
