  1.  The Doomsday Clock Is Ticking...

"Supernatural" is an American Drama / Horror series that stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as demon hunting brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester.
Season three picks up right where the second season left off. The brothers have finally faced and defeated the demon that killed their mother, but their battle against the forces of evil is far from over.
Having been killed and resurrected, Sam is understandably shaken and unsure of his true destiny. The battle which saw the Winchesters defeat the Yellow-Eyed demon also saw the brothers inadvertently release hundreds of other demons from the pits of hell into an unsuspecting world. Not only that, but the demonic deal made to secure Sam's return from the afterlife has left Dean with only one year to live.
While Dean seems resigned to his fate, Sam searches desperately for a way to save his brother before time runs out...
If you, like me, have been enthralled with this excellent series since the beginning, then you will not want to miss this third season. The tension has been ramped up a gear from the last two seasons, mostly due to the storyline involving Sam's struggle to save Dean before his time on earth is up. Along the way there is the usual mix of scares, action, humour and drama that has become the show's unique selling point -- it really does have something for everyone.
Not to mention the fact that it also features two of the sexiest, most talented young actors on TV...
The acting is top-notch, as are the writing and the special effects. My only complaint is that the Writer's Strike in America caused this third season to be cut from 22 episodes to 16, so it does feel a little truncated. But it's not really the fault of anyone involved in the show. These things just happen.
So, take my advice -- don't miss out on experiencing this great show. It is guaranteed to keep you entertained and enthralled until the gripping climax.
    Roll on season four...

  2.  They're On The Highway To Hell...

"Supernatural" is an American Drama / Horror series that stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as demon hunting brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester.
After the startling events of the season one finale, we join Sam and Dean in the aftermath of the horrific car crash that left them for dead. They have both lived to fight another day, but at what cost?
A shocking sacrifice and unexpected revelations send the brothers on another dangerous cross-country journey to discover the truth about their destiny. Along the way, there are battles with werewolves, shape-shifters, ghosts, tricksters, and all kinds of unimaginable evils. But the greatest evil may be a little closer to home - a final showdown with the demon that has plagued the Winchester family for over 20 years: the demon that killed their mother...
Season two of "Supernatural" is one hell of a ride. If you enjoyed the first season, then you will not be disappointed. Season two is even better, and manages to provide more bone-chilling scares, gripping mystery, and captivating drama than the first season, taking us deeper into the world of the supernatural and the misadventures of the ghost-busting Winchester family.
The lead actors are wonderful, settling comfortably into their roles as the series goes on. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki are so convincing in their portrayal of loyal but troubled brothers that you cannot help but be drawn into their world, and their struggles against the forces of darkness. Ackles in particular shows himself to have a great emotional depth and range, as well as perfect comedic timing, providing the series with most of its funniest moments.
This second season features even more of the show's trademark visual style, cool special effects, intriguing storylines, terrific acting and witty dialogue.
Come along for the ride, if you dare...

  3.  Scary Just Got Sexy...

"Supernatural" is an American Drama / Horror series that stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles as demon hunting brothers, Sam and Dean Winchester.
Season one starts with a prologue set in the early 80's, in which the boys have their mother taken from them in a gruesome murder by a mysterious dark figure with yellow eyes.
We then fast-forward to 2005, where we find the younger brother, Sam, attending Stanford University. Having been dragged around the country for most of his childhood by his strict father, on a quest to find the thing that killed his mother, Sam has now left his troubled family behind and settled into a normal life with girlfriend Jessica. That is, until older brother Dean shows up in the middle of the night, with disturbing news that threatens to turn Sam's world upside down once again.
Their father, who has been hunting evil (including ghosts, demons, vampires and werewolves) since the death of his wife twenty-odd years ago, has disappeared. And now, to find him, Sam must return to the life he thought he'd left behind and join his brother on a road trip that will change both of their lives forever...
I can't recommend this series highly enough -- it's one of the most criminally underrated and overlooked dramas on TV. It manages to effortlessly blend drama, horror, action and comedy to create one of the most compelling, scary (and not to mention, sexy) series on TV.
The lead actors, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, are brilliant in their roles as brothers who, underneath all of the squabbling and sarcastic one-liners, would readily die to protect one another, and their relationship provides the show with many poignant moments amid all of the thrills and chills.
The various monsters and ghouls featured in the series are brought to life using impressive CGI and special effects, and the show has a cool, striking visual style that would not look out of place on a cinema screen.
So, to sum up, I'd simply say that if you're looking for hot young stars, heart-stopping suspense, compulsive storylines and spectacular visuals, then you should definitely give "Supernatural" a go. You won't regret it.
