A first class thriller from one of the prominent authors in the field. Harris' use of imagery to describe the Berlin of an alternate universe is in general great and in places exquisite.
Well researched, the novel relfects accurately what the infrastructure, culture and politics of the sixties would have been like had WWII turned out differently.
The novel contains some great twists and this plot device is used sparingly so as to create genuine astonishment when the plot does twist.
Overall, a fantastic thriller and well worth picking up, especially for those with an interest in 20th century history and specifically WWII.
