  1.  "A big dissappointement, try to avoid."

This film may look good, but all it is is meiocre script-writing, OTT cgi, forgettable characters and lame action scenes. Most of the scenes are goofy (watch out for the lame race car scene) and even the big conclusion, the best and most dramatic part of a superhero movie was weak, rushed and silly. Ryan Reynolds seems fitting as the arrogant pilot who gets recruited to be a Green Lantern, protector of the planet Earth or something along those lines, and the main antagonists don't really seem to pose that much of a threat, as they're sorted out by the Green Lantern in a matter of seconds. This film is weak and daft, the OTT cgi only makes it worse. Waste of money, try to avoid, thoough younger children would probably love it. I f you want a good super hero film, watch something like Superman Returns or Iron Man.

  2.  "A great horror finally reborn!"

I loved the original two and Halloween h20 films, and I even think the sloppy 4th and 5th ones were descent (6th one and resurection were rubbish though), and when I heard about this remake I thought it wasn't going to be any good at all. However, once I watched it, I was quite surprised. This film shows the simple character of Michael Myers has much more depth to him, which delves into Michael's twisted childhood, showing shocking footage, and makes Michael more scary. Unlike the original, which doesn't show us much of Michael until he pays a visit to heroine Laurie Strode in Haddonfield, this film shows us Michaels first kills as a child, his life in prison before his escape to show us just how twisted he is, his doctor's (dr. Lumis) interviews with Michael and the hunt he leads after Michael's escape. All of these events, including an introduction to Michael's family which we never got to see before, all build up to his final rampage in Haddonfield, building up the tension to the dramatic conclusion, which I think was quite fun. Rob Zombie re-invents a classic as a relentless nightmare filled with horror and tension, although at times it's slow-moving. A must-see for any horror fan!

  3.  "The most brutal one yet."

This film, like any Rob Zombie film, looks stunning (the sets and costumes), and the murder scenes were incredibly violent and shocking, with over the top gore, but really that's all it was. the character of Laurie Strode has changed dramatically from the innocent school girl you want to survive to a whiny goth freak. I know she's traumatized after the events of the previous film, but at least make the character likeable, but I found myself feeling surprisingly depressed when some of the main characters died, who seemed actually decent because of how dramatic the death scenes were portrayed. Also, in this film Rob Zombie reveals Michael's inspiration, the reason why he's hunting his sister down, and although the gothic scenes where you seem to be in Michaels head were very interesting, it sort of ruined the mystery behind the mask, which is half of the reason why Michael's such a terryfying culteral icon. Rob Zombie attempts to explain what goes on in Michael's head, attemps to make this movie more than just a slasher. But that's what the Halloween films are all about: being slashers. They provide a few scares and some gore and that's it, the viewers satisfied. If we wanted something more than a slasher, we'd watch something else. But still it's interesting to see how Laurie's life is falling apart and what's happened to every one else after the original massacre, michaels long hunt for Laurie and the incredibly brutal murder scenes, which were why I really enjoyed this film. A good but flawed horror,

  4.  "Okay, but expected much more."

When I first heard the rumours that this movie was in production, I got really excited, being a fan of the Alien movies. But, although I liked it, this movie was quite disappointing. The trailer made it look much better than it was, and it had virtually no relation to the Alien films until, literally, the last few seconds. But apparently the story will be continued in an anounced sequel, and even though it's not anything like the Alien series you should judge it on it's own merits. The special effects were brilliant, as were the sets, alien designs and it was quite well acted, which still didn't prevent it from being a bit slow, dragged out and confusing. The beginning didn't make sense, the plot was confusing as was the fairly week ending. Many scenes of the film did not make any sense, nor did the overall storythat much. Things got interesting just gone halfway-through, and it was quite dramatic, up until the big climax, which was rushed, confusing, and compared to the big build up to it, it was very weak. The characters weren't that memorable but the pacy action in the middle and near the end made the film exciting, and is well worth checking out. Prometheus did not live up to it's name, supposedly being the "most anticipated film in cinematic history", but it was still quite good and I'll probably end up watching the sequel/sequels. Worth a watch.

  5.  3x the low-budget rubbish! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Brad Sykes shouldn't of even made the first film.
Camp blood was unimaginative, lame, so-called "horror". It seems it was filmed on a phone by a 12-year-old! The only reason it's remotably watchable is because it's so bad it's laughable.
The 1st sequal was unrealistic and amazingly worst than the first, but had less lame kills. Still rubbish though.
The 3rd film was the lamest of all. Luckily it didn't include the terrible actress Jennifer Ritchkoff, but instead had an even WORSE actress, probably only hired because of her big breasts. There was no forest, just grassy banks. This film had the worst plot and didn't even make sense!
The clown masks were cheesy and Sykes tryed to make the (hopefully) final film modern by including a fake reality tv show and a terrible song that gets on your nerves!

  6.  Freddy revived for a great remake!

After the 1984 classic slasher, the sequals to "A Nightmare On Elm Street" couldn't compete with the original. After the awful 6th film I'd lost interest in the series, but this jumpy slasher reminded me of the brutality, horror and pitch-black humour of the legandary Freddy Krueger. This film is well-casted and has a few gory kills. Plus, Jackie Earle Haley (Rorchach from "Watchmen") makes a great Freddy.
Not as enjoyable as the original when compared to it, but a fun flick anyway.

  7.  Not even in the "So bad it's good" section.

This movie is terrible, low budget (of about 50p), insult to all horror films. It drags on for ages, has little blood, terrible acting, crappy effects especially for the cheesy snowman costume, rubbish jokes and no scares throughout the film. The story line was so far-fetched that it was ludicrous, and somehow it managed to influence a sequal which was amazingly even worse! DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY ON THIS ABOMINATION!!!!!!!!!
