This is a fabulous book, based on a true life story of Susanna Kaysen. She wrote remarkably well of her time in the psychiatric ward, even including her hospital notes and letters, it gives you a massive insight into treatment wards in the sixties brilliant!! would also recommend the film!! that too is great!! Would prefer the real thing (book) anyday though!!

  2.  Brill

When i read the book i cried so hard my sides hurt!! It was brilliantly written with much credit where due. I do not recommend anyone watch the film as it totally butchered the book!!

Marian Keyes wrote this story in the most fantastic way. Once she hooked you with one character, she would go on to the next character and hook you on their story too!! She made this a real page turner!!
