  1.  Disappointing.

    Really enjoyed the latest movie,so i was looking farward to this.How disappointed i was.A typical bad game spin off from a film.It was even a totally different story.The graphics were so-so,the game play very clunky, even a 5 year old would be disappointed.I gave it 15 minutes before turning off..Dont waste your time and money on this rubbish.

    Now, i loved the lord of the rings trilogy.Even the extended versions improved on perfection.Then there was this.I was really looking forward to this.And for me, its 2 films in one.The first,is the first half.Pleasant at first,it becomes utterly boring,and drags along at a snails pace.So boring in fact,i found myself looking through my phone.Long,drawn out dialogues,that to be honest,didnt really needed to be there.For a good hour and a bit,i was debating on switching off.Then there was the second film - the second half.Yes,it was nothing new,Hobbits and gandalf and friends fighting orcs,but it was a welcome change of pace.Great effects,great fighting scenes,i just hope the next 2 films (1 book turned into 3 films?) arent as bloated,and that Peter Jackson doesnt over inflate dialogue,and nearly sends the audience to sleep,as the first half of this film did.

    What is it about James Bond games for consoles? Ever since the brilliant Goldeneye,which should have been a bench mark,have they been so poor? This offering is no different.As a COD and Medal of Honour, and james bond fan,i was really looking forward to this.Disappointed is not the word.Basically,its like a poor COD game for 5 year olds.Graphics - so-so (what i cant understand, is all ther villains are represented exactly,apart from Blofield,who looks nothing like Telly Savalas),the game play is mediocre,and its just such a repetative,boring game.I got this despite the poor reviews,as i never take any notice,i prefer to make my own mind up,but here,they were right.

  4.  good old fashioned fun.

    Sure,it wont win any oscars,or appear at Cannes.But if you want a well put together,take-your-brain-out action romp,this is perfect.Like the first one,full of gags,and great set pieces.In a way,this is better than the first,as the first was too dark (lighting),which many complained about.Even the cheesey cameos from arnie and Bruce will get you laughing.Looking forward to the 3rd one.

    Havent heard of this film? Thats because it was straight to dvd.Vinnie Jones? Yep,thats the standard.Tom Sizemore? You will be wondering "just what was he thingking?" All in all, a real bad film.Dont waste time you will never get back.Its cheesey,full of every cliches you can think of.

  6.  Superb!

    Firstly,about the packaging.Before buying,i read all the negative reviews about it,but noticed a massive common thread - none of them had actually bought it! Comments such as "the packing has put me off buying" etc.So, i went ahead,and bought it.All i can say,is the packaging is superb.A strong box,inside of which are 2 coffee table styled books - 1962 -1981, and 1983 -2012 (there is a space for the Skyfall disc). The pages are made out of thick,strong card.So i am really glad i ignored the ill-informed negative reviews.As for the films themselves,well, i have quickly looked at them,the early ones in blu ray look absolutely fantastic - look as though they were shot yeaterday. Very happy with this purchase.

    After reading a few reviews,and after hearing just how good this series was,i decided to rent.I got as far as the first 3 episodes befire switching off.Very dull,2 dimensional characters,its just trying to be clever,by setting the wild west in a sci-fi world - and fails miserably.I really dont see what people see in this.

    To be honest,i didnt really mind Stallones efforts,i thought his was an 'ok' Dredd, so i was a bit hesitant about watching this - glad i did! No pointless character build up to take up most of the film, (we all know who Dredd is,and what he is about), so we are dropped straight into the action.Good,solid story,solid characters,great action (and a bit of gore thrown in for good measure).A very 80's/mad max feel to it.All in all,excellent!

    With 2 fantastic actors,you cant go wrong with this.Mitchum plays nasty and evil very well (as he did a few times on screen).For me,far superior than the mediocre modern remake with De Niro.
