  1.  STEELBOOK PICTURE AND SOUND REVIEW..

    ok lets start with the steelbook...its one of the better made ones so you dont feel its going to fall apart in a hurry..
    the artwork on the front is simple but i like it..its also engraved..
    fantastic artwork on the inside with a picture of all the cast and comes with a tidy booklet...the back is not engraved but still looks good..
    the picture on a whole is alot more sharper than the dvd and could only see a few signs of grain here and there in the night seens..
    the dts soundtrack works well with all the wright sounds coming through the right channels..
    all in all would recommend this to any steelbook collector and asian movie buff..

    what a cracking movie about a boy who can see dead people..
    the animation looks superb and the story keeps you intrested
    with laugh out loud momments here there and everywhere..
    you will just fall in love with all the cast..
    and those die hard horror movie buffs will see many references
    from some old school horror movies..
    this movie carrys alot of weight for the older generation
    and the youngers will love it too..
    highly recommended viewing..hope this helps..

  3.  I JUST LOVE THIS MOVE..

    as far as action movies go you dont get much better than this..
    the picture always looked good on dvd and is a defo an improvement
    on bluray..
    the 5.1 mix is terrific and all the fire fights and choppers sound great..
    theirs plenty of subs arabic czech dutch english french greek polish etc
    the extras are just commentarys which is good but some deleted scenes or behind the scenes would of bin nice..
    and finally the steelbook..its one of the better made ones and the artwork looks fantastic..
    also came in at a good price..so would defo recommend this to bluray and steelbook collectors..hope this helps..

    fantastic movie with good comedy and plenty of zombies..
    fantastic extras commentary behind the graveyard behind the scenes
    fantastic dts sound with english or french..
    subs..danish dutch french english hindi swedish finnish norwegian
    fantastic looking steelbook well made good atrwork..
    fantastic price..
    all in all i cannot honestly fault anything about this item..i highly recommend five stars all the way..

  5.  WHAT A CRACKING MOVIE..

    i have to say ive never bin a big fan of tom cruise..
    but he really nailed this part on the head as a hired hitman
    and his acting ability in this movie shows what he really can do..
    also jamie fox is on fine form as the taxi cab driver who is forced into escorting the hitman from job to job..
    this movie has it all good acting good storyline good action and a really good soundtrack..
    the steelbook is well made but the artwork isnt anything special.. there are plenty of extras to keep you busy..
    all in all the picture and sound have been improved over the dvd not perfect but defo better..
    pick it up why you have the chance it really is a good movie..

    the movies epic we all know that etc etc..
    the steelbook looks good and is well made..
    the are a good few extras that will keep you busy..
    also the sound has a good 5.1 mix which comes through the speakers well..
    now the main reason i bought this is what hoping to see a great transfer.. unfortunately from the momment the movie starts theirs way to much grain especially the library scene..as the movie progresses there are a few scenes that come up well and clear but more often than not the grain comes to often for a movie of this calibur..
    shame really because the movies deserves alot more than a quick 5 min tinkiring with before they call it a bluray..

  7.  ITS NO DARK NIGHT..

    first of all i would like to say i found the picture to be very impressive with some stunning shots of the city..as with the sound.. even though i did find it hard to understand what bane was saying at times ..speaking of bane i didnt find his character engaging/exciting as i did the joker..as for the movie its long but the storyline is there to keep you intrested..
    now i know many other reviewers may disagree with me but after seeing the first and second movies and waiting so long for this to be made why make me wait so long to see the bat appear in the movie and when he does its short winded and then your waiting till the end till he pops up again..im sorry but i want to see a batman movie not 10 mins of batman..on a positive note the catwoman was fantastic and i felt had it not been for her this movie would of seriously failed..
    all in all i did enjoy the movie and it has a good storyline but i felt we needed to see more of the bat after all we have been waiting long enough..

  8.  A REALLY GOOD MOVIE..

    the steelbook is most welcome to my ever growing collection..
    its well made and the artwork looks good..not shore if its me but the paint job does seem a little on the thin side..
    as for the movie i do like a good investigation and this wont fail you..you also get to see some lovely shots of how london looked 100 plus years ago even if it is all done by computer it still looks impressive..
    now what really impressed me was the sound it comes through all the right channels nice and clearly and there really is a good mix..
    all in all am happy i added this to my steelbook collection its a good movie with a good picture and sound.. recommended..

  9.  A SILENT GEM...

    this movie was overlooked by many people as it was released around the sametime as act of valor..hollywood being hollywood somewhat put special forces in the shade with its big advertising..
    the story focuses on french special forces stuck behind enemy lines and trying to make it to the safe zone..
    this has it all from half tidy acting to some serious shoot outs and the story aint bad either..in my opinion this movie is as good if not better than act of valor.. anyone intrested in these kind of movies i highly recommend you give it a look you wont be dissapointed..
    p.s. it does have french subtitles but if you can handle that your in for a treat..

  10.  ONE OF PACINOS FINEST...

    i cant believe no one has beaten me to the first review of this movie as in my opinion this is up there with scarface..
    the story focuses on a man called carlito who has just finished serving time in prison and is trying to go straight but as is the way with life its hard trying to brake free from a life that you were raised in..sean penn also stars and give a worthy performance and is wright up there with pacino..
    i always felt the dvd picture wasnt bad but decided to take the double dip for the steelbook which is well made and looks half tidy..the picture has been improved but not by much..for an anniversary edition the extras are a little on the thin side hence the 4 stars instead of 5..
    all in all if you dont own this movie or havent seen it i would highly recommend for the story alone and to see pacino and penn on oscar winning form..
    all wrapped up in a steelbook sorted..
