  1.  Fascinating

Fascinating to read how their lives differed and matched before they met. The problems they had to face together and individually because they were each strong characters. I had no idea how insecure this brilliant actor was, concerning his own ability.

     Great read

Well written and fun to read. There has been a lot of pain hidden behind that smile and jolly exterior. Interesting but always discrete comments. Thoroughly enjoyable. I was not expecting this book to be so good.

  3.  Very disappointed

I've always considered Dawn French brilliantly funny in Vicar of Dibley and thought I would find her life interesting. I regret to say I did not and felt the book was written more for her friends than for ordinary people. I felt I was an outsider.

  4.  Very enjoyable

I like Will Smith and think he is one of the best comedy actors. I have not seen any of his more serious films yet. This is great fun with Will Smith's character being in total control in any situation that effects his clients but totally out of control with his own.

The only part that I found odd was the wedding scene at the end. It was as though no-one knew how to end the film.

  5.  Not my idea of funny

In the extras, Bill Murray comes across as a great and amusing guy. In the few films I've seen of his, I always get fed up and switch off or leave. With this one, I forced myself to watch the whole film.

His humour appears to be either very silly or with a nasty edge to it. I suppose we shall just have to agree to disagree on what is funny.

  6.  Excellent

All the Actors in these films were excellent. The films are dark and funny; bizarre and loving. They poke fun at several other films and were much more enjoyable than I was expecting. Amazing special effects - just see how they created the maelstrom.

My apologies to Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom because I did not realise what superb actors you both are.

  7.  Great laugh

I detest many of Jim Carrey's characters but when he gets a good one he his brilliant. This is one of the best.

  9.  Sad and Disappointed

I love many of Julie Walters characters and think she is a superb actress whether it is in Harry Potter, Billy Elliott, Acorn Antiques or with Victoria Wood, but this is a disappointing read.

She is a year younger than me and, like me, was born in Smethwick (although St Chads is Brum) and lived around Bearwood, but the book just did not grab my attention. I'm afraid it did not recapture the people of the time.

The latter parts of the book told of some amusing episodes but there was no spark; purely factual. I have not checked in detail but there seem to be several spelling mistakes. I wish she had got a ghost writer to do it.

Julie Walters is a wonderful actress with a long and varied career behind her and I hope much more in the future. This book does not do her justice.
