  1.  Happy with purchase, but word of warning....

The reviews for this device seem a little hit & miss on here.

However, as I've just been stung with a 32GB MicroSD from eBay that was a fake, I thought I'd give this a go - even after reading all of the reviews.

OK, so PNY packaged MicroSD card arrived today. The SD adaptor has PNY on it, but the MicroSD card does not. The card is labelled as a Class 10 card, which from what I've read means it'll write at 10MB/s.

After dealing with the eBay fake, I now use H2testw.exe to test all memory cards. Results for this card:-

    Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
    Writing speed: 11.0 MByte/s
    Reading speed: 16.5 MByte/s
    H2testw v1.4

Which I personally am happy with. 15MB/s write would be nice, but I'm not too bothered.

The word of warning in the title...I originally tested the MicroSD card in it's SD adaptor, plugged directly in to my laptop (it has a SDCard slot). The H2testw write speed never went much above 3MB/s !!!

After reading some of the reviews here of people who got the same speed, I thought time to send it back. But then thought I'd just try once more, this time - MicroSD card, in SD adaptor, in USB to SD card reader.... 11MB/s write speed. What's to say that the USB SD card reader isn't slowing the speed down ? So it may actually write at 15MB/s..

    Overall, very happy :-)

  2.  Worth buying - yes

Bought one of these for my acer aspire one which only has 100mb lan built in. Was it worth it - yes. Is it blisteringly fast - no. Copying a large file over with windows xp over the 100mb lan worked out at a max of 75mb/s. Using the belkin, this got to 120mb/s. So 60% performance improvement - definitely worth it. One point though, the 3 leds on the belkin are blue - ok -but why are they soooo bright ! Do not look directly into one :-0
