  1.  A Bit Of Heft, But Does The Job

    Posted:

    Light:
The LED bulb does a fantastic job illuminating the the page that you are reading. The only problem some may find is that it didn't spread the light across both pages and so you had to either re-adjust the light angle or place it on the opposite page. But to be honest, I slowly got used to this and didn't cause an issue after, but definitely worth bearing in mind.

    Build:
Very robust, solid and will not break easily. However, it may be a bit too thick and heavy. The weight of the booklight on some paperbacks may be an issue as it may drag the page it's sitting on backwards or forwards (depending on how far you've read into the book).

    Conclusion:
Does exactly what it says on the tin, but the size and weight could be improved by being slimmer. Thus, 4 stars out of 5.

  2.  My MacBook on the big screen is heaven

What can i say. I had been itching to get my MacBook shooting its HD screen onto a larger HD screen.

This was the cheapest option on Play for what I think, a reasonable price. At roughly 9 pounds, this cable does the job beautifully.

Maybe the the cable could've been slighter longer, but you know what, that's a little sacrifice that can easily be compromised.

I now enjoy relaxing back on my recliner, using a wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse, using my MacBook on the big screen.

    And I love it.

  3.  It's a £1.62, gold plated optical cable. Review half done!

Title says it all. The cable WORKS in accordance to its specifications. It's a gold plated optical cable. It produces crystal sharp sound especially in conjunction with my PS3.

And it costs 1 pound 62...............1 pound 62!

I ended up buying 2! One for spare.

I highly recommend this. Bargain of the century. A thorough 5 stars. Bravo.

  4.  BlackBerry 9700 - It does exactly what is says on the tin

BlackBerry is immense, I have to admit. The 'Push' system for the email is EXCELLENT. Most people don't realise that emails are not sent instantly on mobile devices. Whereas BlackBerrys have the function to do it. Emails, instant messages and texts are sent INSTANTLY, no delay, no lag. Better yet, you can integrate 10 of your email accounts with this phone, and it will sync instantly. Just perfect. You can choose to view as separate emails, or all on the same page. Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo! are all supported including others. Instant messaging clients include, MSN, Yahoo!, Google Talk, AIM and of course, their very own BlackBerry Messenger, which is nothing short of amazing to say the least.

I decided to buy the white model to be unique :)

Next is the apps. There are literally thousands of apps for every need that you can download, most of them free. These include apps for work, games, music, video, literature, you name it. Famous ones include the social network sites.

Camera. The camera is brill, a decent 3.2 megapixel camera with flash. It also had auto-focus which is extremely neccessary for close up shots. The camera works well with the apps, as you can take a quick snap and upload directly to the social network sites. VERY convenient. It also has a video recorder, WITH VIDEO LIGHT. Something that most phones are lacking these days.

The phone itself is a step up from the previous Bold 9000. This 9700 has double the internal memory, which is needed for saving apps. The trackball has also upgraded to a touch sensative touch pad. This prevents any lagging, and increases speed, accuracy, and comfort with navigating on the phone.

Overall, this phone really is the business. I have not come across a phone with the capabilities as this one to be honest. Just amazing, just amazing. Definately recommend. 5 *s.

  5.  Great transfer - film could be better

    Posted:

After reading the INCREDIBLE book of Angels and Demons, I just thought, the film that will try and live up to the expectations of this book has a mighty task ahead of it.

Like all films made from books, a lot of the information is cut out as they need to sum up the whole story within the time frame. In my opinion, The Da Vinci Code didn't do that bad of a job. But Angels and Demons could have been better. A little TOO much was cut out in my opinion. Plus, some of the cast did not resemble their original with regards to character. For example, Olivetti and the Hashasheen.

Tom Hanks is one of my favourite actors of all time, however it seems he's acting was of a higher calibre in The Da Vinci Code than in this film. The storyline of the film feels incredibly rushed.

With regards to the transfer and quality, I think it was pin sharp brilliant. And I'm not exaggerating. My TV is a 46inch 100hz LED Samsung, and I can tell you know, the film looks amazingly sharp and smooth even with the Motion Plus option turned on. For those who don't know, Motion Plus creates the 'soap opera' 'video camera' effect on screen. Even with this effect turned on, the picture quality was sharp and smooth as you like. I had originally seen the film on DVD few months before I bought the Blu-Ray, and I can tell you the difference is very visible, very clear.

Sound quality - as I don't have a surround sound setup, I can't comment about this section with the 'true' analysis. However, from what I had heard from my TV speakers, it felt like I was in the film, put it that way.

For those who love a thought-provoking film, I recommend this. For those who have expectations of the film to live up to the book with close detail, I don't recommend this. For Dan Brown fans, this is a no brainer.

I give it 4 stars. Would've been 5 if the film storyline wasn't so rushed and a little more detail and resemblance to the book was included. But personally, the phenomenal 1080p pristine Blu-Ray transfer makes up for this.

  6.  Small but powerful

I bought two of these. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Speed is not the fastest, but it's more than sufficient. VERY small, thus compact and can fit into even the smallest jeans pocket. A small convenient keyring hole and a nice red and black look puts the icing on the cake.

  7.  Best All Round Phone On The Market Today

  8.  Best Headphones I've Ever Had

    Posted:

    Sound quality:
The sound quality on this top notch. The treble is crisp and the bass is pounding (with a nice punch). I've tried out different types of songs from different genres, seems to get better each time! I've even tried it on acapellas, with great results. The clarity of the voice is clear, and not in the way that it is too sharp that it becomes irritating or hurts. The bass when it thumps, have a strong punch to it that doesn't crack.

    Physical:
I've read reviews where people have complained about the headphones clamping their heads and being too tight. To be honest, they are fine on my head, perhaps its because i have a small head (lol). I can see slightly where they are coming from, i guess the sensible choice for some people would be 'try before you buy'. Also, i was worried that the ear cups would not cover my whole ear and sit over it. I was pleasantly wrong, it covers it perfectly with a nice snug fit. Perhaps after a few hours of use, it may hurt, but the easy solution is, to take a 10 min break, every 40 mins. The 3 metre cable depends on the person. Some like short, some like long. If you like short, you can just use the clip provided to shorten it. There is also a strong, sophisticated looking leather carry case also provided, with sennheiser embedded on it. Before i forget, they come with gold plated connectors, which is amazing.

    Conclusion:
For £29.99, you honestly can't get any better. You can't find quality like this, at this price, from any other company. The sound it produces is far superior than any other £29.99 headphones out in the market. The headphones are also extremely well built, and looks expensive with the shining sennheiser logo on the side. Well done sennheiser, 5 stars out of 5.
