  1.  Fantastic addition to rhythm based games

From when I first turned the game on I am hooked on this. From the stunning presentation to the great set list, I find it hard to see any faults in this game. I think the only thing I would say is that for avid Guitar Hero / Rock Band guitarists the expert setting is too easy but that is being very petty!!
Another great addition to the series and it has broken these kinds of games into a new market with the mass appeal of the subject band.
A last note is to clarify that the Guitar Hero drums, guitar and microphone all work with this game and it does NOT need a patch like Rock Band 2 did.

     Great experience whilst it lasts

I have to say that i've enjoyed every second that I spent playing this game the main problem is that it just wasn't as many seconds as I would have liked!

The presentation is top notch and it really does a great job of recreating a retro kill bill style feeling throughout the game. Gameplay is very much the same as the Max Payne series so if you liked those games you're pretty much certain to like this. There are a few levels where it strays from the normal run and gun which is a pleasant change.

I think this game could have been a classic if they'd just made the story mode last longer. Without over excessive playing of this game I'd completed the story mode in 3 nights and as there is no on-line mode there is nothing really to pull you back to the game once completed.

  3.  An actual review!!

Rather than voice opinion on what you think of the game, I thought it best to leave comments after actually playing the game.
If you are a fan of the earlier Guitar Hero games then this will be the package for you. It covers some of the earlier and easier songs up to the legendary Bark At The Moon & Through The Fire and Flames.
There will be something for everyone on the setlist no matter what skill level or preference in song style. And reccomend this game even if you just own the Guitar.
There is now an indicator on the quickplay menu to highlight whether the song is a particulally difficuly one to play of the instrument you have chosen which helps when choosing the difficulty.
Another new addition is a progress meter which shows how many stars you are upto with your current score in a song. Good news for those who insist on 5 staring everything (me included!).

Overall this is a solid game and a worthy addition to the Guitar Hero series and I would reccomend this to anybody who is a fan of the series.
