  1.  Loved it

I had put off seeing this movie for some time. After seeing the bulbous heads and scary green eyes at the cinema and so on, I thought no, it is wanting too much to be the next big thing and so I never watched it.

But having got a copy for Christmas I sat and watched and I was blown away. A magical sequel, a fantastic film set in a fantastic CGI world.
The CGI was very much in its favour and the characters lived in that world very comfortably. I am glad I was wrong as this is now my fave film of 2010 and will remain a fave for a long time to come.
    recommended.

  2.  Good enough for me!

I personally thought this film was brilliant. People are going on about how bad the disc 3d is from the RealD at the cinema. Yes it is different, but it is still damn good! It is not only the out the screen in your face 3D that makes this movie, but the DEPTH of the film. You definitely get a feeling of depth from the film, as if you could put your hand deep in the scene, even in the parts that are not meant to freak you out. A murderous coal miner might not float your boat, but the costume was simple enough to be chilling. Ackles makes the most of a relatively poor script, and does it with his usual lovely charm. There is one line he delivers badly, but who knows what was going off camera at the time that part was filmed. The naked lady, well kudos to her! Nudity always seems pointless and awkward, but this lass pulled it off and then some! The storyline is along the usual horror flick line, there isn't much new in this film. But it is fresh and quirky, funny and enjoyable. I am not a big horror fan, but I was talked into seeing this one at the cinema and I am damn glad I did. Having also seen it on disc, I prefer the cinema take, but the disc version is good enough for me! Ackles in 3D, what more do I need!
