I have to agree with most of the reviewers, the book was incredible but its transition to film did leave something to be desired. In reality, the film appears to start some ways into the book by comparison and I felt that given todays technological advances in cinematography, they could have done better justice to the book but there will always be something lost in translation. The start of the book really sets the theme for the rest of the journey and was a little bit misleading.Simply put, see the film first, then and only then, read the book or be prepared for disapointment.

If you have even only a passing interest in cooking and chocolate, this book is a must. If you are a chocoholic then it goes without saying that this can be a life-saver.The recipes are clear and concise with all stages clearly laid out for even novices(there are some brilliant recipes for children in this book). It is interesting to read as a detailed history of the coaco is included at different stages in the book. All in all a very interesting book.

I have to agree with the other reviewers. We went to see this in the cinema and put it on my to buy list immediately!! This is a real tonic of a film in the same vein as Dumb & Dumber. A definate must have.

The effects were the winner in this film. I feel the portrayal of Quinn by Christian would be hard to beat with some other actor, he really seemed to assume the role. A good collaboration of old ideas and new effects and well scripted. A well contrived ending too.Overall, a good wet evening flick.
