  1.  Genius

Every track on this CD is perfect, their are no duds, filler, no (as I feel is sometimes the case on their later releases), ineffectual experimentation. Just listen and enjoy the beautiful , strangely uplifting miserableness of a band at their peak. Anyone who doesn't own and enjoy this album is weird.

     blues rock and more

this is the latest in a seriesof great albums from these guys. The blues rock of their previous albums is as strong and interesting as ever but there is a strong sense of soul and 70s style r'n'b about some of this album, notably on the opening track. great album, a must buy !

  3.  Not as good as the book, again..

Saw this at the cinema. The book was one of my surprise 'likes' as I thought it might too 'Love Story' like. I was wrong and thought it was a wonderful and clever novel. The film is not bad but there are too many elements of the book missing ( i know it's never possible to put all of a book in to a couple of hours of film!). Rachel McAdams is very convincing but Bana (although I have enjoyed him in other roles ('Chopper' notably) is a little wooden. Enjoyable enough though!
