If you're a bit of a computer geek this might be for you!
There have been some mixed reviews of this DVD so far, either proclaiming it to be an absolute classic or commenting that it's a pile of rubbish. In my opinion, the truth is somewhere in between!
The film is based around a Brighton student who becomes addicted to a computer game in which the main objective is to kill your victim without getting caught. However, it soon transpires that murders in the game are also happening in real life...
As with all movies, its portrayal of internet culture fails miserably, which you can imagine in 1998 is pretty amusing. Geeks amongst us will pick up on the jargon and memes such as 'flaming in internet chatrooms' and dancing babies.
The outdated technology is also good for a few laughs, however if none of this appeals to you then I'd give it a miss as the plot is pretty weak!
Personally I loved it, and I can remember watching it when it first aired on channel 4 in my mid-teens. Now it's been added to my DVD collection!
