  1.  Fast, Capacious & Cheap!

I was a little concerned by the fact that this is advertised as a Class 4 product, but, as others have noted, is actually marked as Class 2 on the MicroSD card itself.

I was, however, pleasantly surprised after performing a speed test on the device (via h2testw). The results were as follows:

    Read: 9.52MB/s
    Write: 14.6MB/s

This is in comparison to my previous Transcend Class 6 8GB card which records 6.93MB/s write and 13.9MB/s read (actually not bad for a Class 6).

All in all I am very pleased and also impressed by the performance of this supposedly Class 2 device (which in reality is almost Class 10!)

  2.  Good for the price

I purchased this product to assist me in performing various drive upgrades (New 320GB HDD into my Netbook, the 80GB Netbook drive into my PS3 and the 40GB PS3 drive into this caddy), and this drive enclosure behaved as expected.

The quality of the product is mediocre, but it works just fine and offers excellent value for money.

The main problem I have with the enclosure is in relation to the attachment of the front panel, which allows you to insert and remove drives. The front panel is attached to the main case by two very small screws. In my case, the screws did not fit neatly into their threads and stick out a little from the main casing. Additionally the screw mount design is not an ideal solution if you are taking drives in and out regularly, as the screws could easily be lost. The screws also do not look to be particularly sturdy, so the thread could easily be damaged - especially if you are using the poor quality screwdriver included in the package.

Having said the above, this product is ideal for users who have a spare 2.5" SATA drive and wish to cheaply convert it for use as an external drive.
