  1.  Excellent Value for money

I bought this as a personal laptop for use at home and potentially for work related usage. I am extremely impressed with the specs I receive for the money! I bought a Vaio for my wife a couple of months ago for the same price but it had half the RAM and half the HD space. Bargain in the Acer! Win7 specs out well and the hardware is well made. runs quiet and doesn't heat up much when just surfing the net. Great, clear screen. HD Webcam, and multi-touch mousepad! Highly recommended.

  2.  Fast paced fun

A great bit of simple science fiction. Completely accessible to anyone and good fun to watch. It felt a bit like Deja Vu to me since the SciFi wasn't the focus of the story, rather it was the thriller in trying to solve the crime.

Jake Gyllenhaal is brilliant as ever.

  3.  A couple of really haunting images

I really enjoyed the way this book develops. I've heard from some that they felt like it was a screenplay awaiting adaptation. I think that is underselling the quality of the narrative. this story opens with great detail moving between mystery, medical procedural and into the horror and action ending that sets it up for the next one. Really enjoyable, but there are a few scenes I had to read past before I went to sleep, some of the imagery might not let you sleep!

  4.  Good, Fun Action flick

It's your standard saturday night fare. A good action flick with a solid action star. Statham brings some quality bits to a decent assassin story. Quality locales bringing some action down to Houston and New Orleans instead of the usual LA or NY hotspots. Always wanted to have an arsenal down in the bayou to do some target shooting with? Now you can imagine with The Mechanic and his swampy hideaway. Good fun, with a couple of extra brutal bits you don't normally get. Always fun to see the next bit in action.

  6.  Hooked

A good read with a great balance of life then and now. Modern day scenes feel read and like a snapshot of rural Norfolk and the chapters from the past jump out of the book like a fresh episode of Upstairs/Downstairs. Really enjoyed this one, looking forward to more from Ms Riley.

  7.  Fantastic read

I've been reading quite a lot of slower paced books lately and it was a great relief to get into a fast paced adventure again. This is a great read, perfect for those summer holidays coming up and getting a bit of excitement whilst whiling away the day on the beach ( or in the park ). A great bit of adventure with some history and conspiracy thrown in. A must read.

  8.  Zombie hack fest

A great piece full of vignettes about surviving the zombie apocalypse. The story starts well after the world is covered in slugs and there are pockets of humanity still surviving. The main character travels the southern usa in a style reminiscent of The Walking Dead and finds that the other humans are more of a threat than the zombies. Highly enjoyable read, but a bit bizarre at times.

  9.  Amusing read

This is the first Abercrombie I've picked up. He writes like the best historical fiction war novelists and puts it into his fantastical world. The battle is well thought out and the antagonists on both sides fit the mold well. A good story, but I felt like I missed a bit of the back story.

  10.  Good read

I don't usually go for period dramas, but this one is pretty good. It follows court intrigues and a murder investigation from the point of view of an outsider plunged into the midst of it all. I find it a stimulating read and a fun way to move a mystery to a different time period.
