A super book.I originally got this for my son who loves Roald Dahl books. Reading the blurb made me start reading for myself first. From start to finish I was hooked, eager to read what happened in his eventful and often exciting life.Tinged with parts of sadness the first story, Boy was exciting to read, left you thinking what a life he must have had and what would happen next. Going solo was equally as eventful and incredible tales of his adult life, things he had witnessed, experienced and the lives of those around him. His account of the war and his memories of the flights he took part in, made you feel you had witnessed them yourself.A remarkable read and a highly recommend it.Its not a autiobiography of someones life, its flash points of a extraordinary one.

Such a beautiful book, well written and very thought provoking. A couple of friends recommended this book and I am so glad I read it. One of my favourite books to date. This story stayed in my mind long after I had finished it.
