4 Sleeper hit with terrific performancesPosted: 02/02/2009Great underated movie, don't expect a martial arts fest this is about the way of the warrior.Make this a must see but possibly not a must own. Did you know that director and renowned playright Mamet is a black belt?

5 Utterly BrilliantPosted: 06/08/2008I have this on DVD but I will still buy it again on Blu-ray. You can watch this exciting and moving series again and again.
5 Don't be put off by the subject matterPosted: 28/01/2008For those of you that are thinking that this will be some flag waving nonsense you would be wrong. The controversial wars in Iraq and Afganistan are no more than a backdrop past the informative credits and then you get into a cracking police drama type film. All the cast excel and this movie has a fantastic ending sequence which is both exciting and credible. An interesting take on the middle eastern situation.
4 Quality WesternPosted: 28/01/2008I knew very little about this movie other than it was a remake when it first got released. Bale and Crowe are quality actors and don't disappoint. Crowe is quite creepy whilst Bale is convincing as a man struggling to do the right thing. This is probably the best western since Unforgiven with some excellent action sequences and one to watch again and again. The sound and picture quality are excellent. Recommended.
