If you're a fan of tennis and Andre then this is a must, if you aren't a fan of either it'd definitely worth the read. The book is so well written, Andre takes you on the journey with him as he struggles to cope with the life he has been given by his father - one he doesn't want. Over his childhood and teenage years the journey is a real rollercoaster of highs and many lows, his frank and honest feeling about his marriage, the great freindships that he manages to build and sustain to this day and his thoughts on his peers on the tennis circuit. You hit every ball with him willing the outcome of matches to change whilst reading, even though you know the outcome! You come away with a sense of how lonely a tennis life can be, but with the strong dedication and attitude that Andre has how he copes with what life throws at him.... control what you can control. I didn't want it to end and now it has I want to go on that journey again!
