  1.  Does what it says on the tin...

This game is very well named, should it have been called 'Football Manager' I would have expected a lot more. There are much better football management sims available for mobile phones via java apps. The game itself is very good, but there is a lot of functionality missing that you would expect as standard. Transfer negotiations are poor, and there are a lot of limitations on playing styles and formations.
Considering the game is not fully licensed there are loads of named players and teams, but a few dodgy stadium names.
I am picking faults for the sake of it, but I think people would be much happier knowing this before buying.
Well done to Pinnacle, job well done, and I'm sure that Football Director 2 will be 'the dogs dangly bits!'.

  2.  Well worth the wait, a must for fans and others too

For those of us who feel a little too old to be hanging around shopping centres comparing detail work on our latest pocket-money spends, the black library has a wealth of GW based novels and Play.com represent the market very well, with prices cut and offers galore, you can't go wrong.

This book is an excellent springboard for what could be the most anticipated book series ever (move over Harry, there are a bigger and older bunch of úber-geeks out there waiting for this story to be told) telling the true story of how the Space Marine civil war began, the real characters behind the endless supply of artwork, miniatures and subsequent video games, spin-offs and even a planned feature film.

Dan Abnett truly paints a clear and concise picture, draws you into the surroundings, gives you a great sense of the scene he is describing. An amazing writer, well fitted to telling the story that every 40k gamer and fan alike should want to read, and a great story that even those who despise the whole GW-scene will appreciate and enjoy without needing too much background info.

    Can't wait for more...
