  1.  Good film,good Blu-ray

    I bought this as a blind buy and have just watched it,I enjoyed it, this directors cut is the three and a half hour long version and is still about an hour short of the uncut version(I haven't seen so can't comment on what is missing)the picture quality is just ok and a pity it didn't look a bit better but the audio is very good,I watched via the German dts hd ma and it does sound good

    I think my title show's that I am not a big fan of the film,I was hoping for so much more but instead I near fell asleep,as for the Blu-ray,it look's really good but yet again another hd disc with a lossy Dolby digital audio track....just not good enough.

    I bought this as I hadn't seen it in a long time and I really enjoyed it,I'd forgot how good it is,5 stars for the film and four for the Blu-ray,it looks good,the sound is fine,the Dolby true track is all front sound stage as you might expect from this dialogue driven movie.

    Super film which looks and sounds great on Blu-ray,if you like this buy it.........the 1991 special version is included in this disc also Madmax,all 17 extra minutes of it.

    This blu-ray looks great especially for a film made in 1979,the audio isn't quite as good but still it's not bad so overall a very good upgrade.

    This was a blind buy for me as I got it at a decent price and I was more than happy with the film,I will certainly watch it again sometime in the future and the picture and audio on the blu are both good.

    Entertainment is top notch,full on action film that look's and sound's great on Blu-ray.

    This is the kind of 'upgrade' that let's this format down,the picture's soft,blurry at times with little to no definition and colour's are bland with very little standing out,rear speaker's aren't really used but as this is a dialogue driven film I didn't expect anything else,no problem's with the sound and certainly not with the film,just the picture upgrade.

    This is the best this film as looked or sounded,I replaced my dvd and there is a significant difference,if your a fan,buy it.

    My reviews are based as always on the standard of the disc rather than the film itself and it is pretty much perfect,picture quality is great as is the audio.
