I confess I was put off by the synopsis of this book having been disappointed with the series of late, more fool me! If you excuse the willing suspension of disbelief MacBride skilfully brings this story to be up there with the best of them, ample time is given to ridicule the fame game of course but the secondary stories are brilliantly crafted and even the main crime keeps you guessing.
McRae is also developed further.
Just as I was thinking MacBride may have run out of legs he goes and pulls this blinder.
