  1.  RIP SWG

This was awesome . I say was as very sadly the game has now been closed a great shame to all its fans . this was the very pinnacle of starwars games. The best EVER made . You could do anything . Be anyone . Wanna be a starfighter . No problem . wannabe a jedi or a sith . No problem . Wanna be a crafter or merchant . A bounty hunter a soldier . Its was all here . Its doubtful the likes of this game will ever be seen again and that's a mighty blow to any and all starwars fans .

  2.  Good Stuff

Expanded campaign to Dark Crusade . Lots more to do . 2 extra races a couple of extra features per race provided you have DoW. DC and expansion packs and more maps than ever before . A little more taxing on your PC but well worth it . At least make sure your PC is up to spec before buying.

  3.  No fuss

Ok I have a ratty old desktop just recently I was sent a free BT home hub and I didnt have anyway to connect to it I had seen this recommended its cheap I mean come on its under 10 quid plug in switch on install driver from provided disc and away you go .

My set up is complicated a bit like Frankensteins monster and Im sure there is plenty I could do to boost the speed of this little number but right out of the box it works no problems at all and the connection speed is on par with what I had connected directly to an old fashioned router so I really cant complain .

Look if your looking for warp speed buy a more advanced and more expensive one if your looking for quick connection no fuss no muss with good speed then you cant go wrong with this its as simple as that you get what you pay for .

  4.  Nah!

Built from the ground up as a multi-player game , sorry to say but I found this to be a very poor game , you really cant enjoy this is in single player , playing solo or with AI bots , if and only if you have three good mates who all have the same game and the time to play it , then you can get the best out of the campaign mode , the other modes are pretty basic and boring , bottom line disappointing

  5.  Amazing Tower Defence

This is an amazing little game , but don't get it mixed up with an RTS , this is a tower defence game where you have to build structure defences to survive , addictive , thought provoking and most importantly a real load of fun .

  6.  Stay on Target!

ok a flight Sim thats a mild step up from the god like classic Tie fighter , same basic ( unbeatable ) layout that was so successful it was even used for the JTL expansion for star wars galaxies , as far as i'm aware its the last stand alone game of this kind to be made which is a shame considering the huge success of these games in the past , for more younger gamers , best way to sum this up is to say its the Ace Combat of Star wars , though many like myself still feel that the Classic Tie Fighter is still the superior title in terms of game play and story telling , a classic must have game for any Star Wars flight Fan.

  7.  aviod!

Even for a massive fan like myself , this was unbelievably disappointing , everything about this game is simply rubbish and it's a huge waste of time , the last transformers game was a complete JOY to play and like most fans of that , we where hoping for something along a similar line , but with this being a movie spin off , its simply trash , the developers should frankly be ashamed of themselves .

i'd give this minus 4 stars if i could

  8.  Its OK!

Ok...just completed the game first time around , verdict?

I can sum up this game in one word ( technically two letters ) OK! , does it live up to the hype ? No , is it the best RPG experience on the 360? No , is it a good game ?...yes , its ok , its moderately better than the first and its by no means a poor game , but it is flawed , aside from the bugs ( mostly minor things , look around online for the details ) the game feels rushed , you don't really have a fully impressive feel , due to the fact that you cant actually speak , only emote , and lets be honest , you really cant live out the life of a hero in two days worth of play ( and that's me taking my time ) , you have to constantly force yourself to take your time and explore and I really felt that hurt the game , there is a lot of freedom and the story is ok but for a title of this kind ?..I'd really expect at the very least a months worth of play , its just far too short .

  9.  Proper RTS on a console

Ok , first thing to say about this is the simple fact that it's a solid and comprehensive RTS on a console , got that ? Let that little fact settle in for a moment ...

To date there is has only been two ( C&C and this , and maybe three if you add battle for middle earth ) so all in that's a few thumbs up for a start , hopefully this will jump to more games if supreme commander and kane's wrath pan out , if your really crazy enough to start comparing this or any other RTS on a console to its PC counterpart then your barking mad , in fact why are you even bothering with a console if you have a superpower PC ?

Now I've read these other reviews and sorry guys but i really can't agree , the demo doesn't do this justice , the control system is quick and intuitive , considering your doing everything from a joy pad rather than a keyboard and mouse , in fact the control system is similar to that of C&C3 so if you've played that , you'll be able to jump into this in no time , witch isn't surprising considering some of the development has been done by the same people .

As for this bordering on piracy ??? , oh come off it , this is a basic style real time strategy like a thousand other real time strategy games , if you don't like this style of game , then honestly don't play them , in this game you get your basic three factions , all that use different tactics , each faction has its own range of unique units and tech trees , there's a wide selection of maps and game modes , as well as a lot of support for online play over Xbox live , in single player you have your three story based campaign modes as well as your obligatory skirmish mode , a very nice touch is the world domination modes for both single and multiplayer.

The story is your basic aliens invading earth type of thing , a big influence here is the tripods from war of the worlds ( the hierarchy ) a machine race ( novus the obligatory good guys ) and the ancient masari ( pyramid building gods / aliens ) , its nothing spectacular and you wont find many surprises in the plot , its just your basic run of the mill sci-fi kinda stuff .

The AI isn't perfect ( then again show me a game where it honestly is ) but its flexible enough to put up a proper fight or give you enough leeway so you can find your feet and learn the ropes .

Voice acting wise? Ok so it wont win any Oscars but I've seen much worse ( two worlds for example ) ,
Probably the only real let down is the graphics and sound quality , being on the Xbox 360 I would have expected much better , the graphics are sharp and clear and to be honest I've seen much worse , but they just don't pop out like they should .

As an RTS in general , witch includes PC RTS games , universe at war is a solid but distinctly average game , worth adding to your collection if you're a fan of RTS , but on the PC there are a lot better titles going around .

As an RTS on a console ? This really is a cut above , is easy to use as well as having enough content and games modes to keep you interested , lets face it ,on a console this is an extremely rare thing .

  10.  Not Worth the Price

No one can say you "don't" get great 360 games , you do..with some of the sharpest Graphics and amazing titles you could ask for ...the joypad alone feels amazing for FPS as well as driving games and many other titles , plus getting and playing games online is as easy as pie ..

BUT!...With that said the 360 is probably the worst actual "console" you could ask for , yes the famous " 3 red lights of death " is well publicised and is practically a plague to the system , basically meaning at some point you more than likely will suffer from this and have to get a replacement console from Microsoft , but isn't by far the only problem the console suffers from , No disc error's , disc tray jamming , disc eating , overheating , numerous error's related to playing games in 60Mhz...what makes this worse is the customer support , if you do ( you probably will at some point ) need to get a replacement console , odds are you will get a refurbished replacement rather than an actual "New" console .

it is by far the worst designed console I've ever seen and its also extremely loud , you cant even exchange music from your MP3 player to your hard drive and back , which means if you want to listen to your music in game you have to leave your MP3 plugged into the console and last but not least , on live ...you have to pay a small fortune for most downloadable content .
