  1.  Not Ridley Scott's best

I'm a big fan of Ridley Scott, but this was disappointing from him. And 34.99 pounds and upwards for the Blu-ray 3D Steelbook version is a bit steep to say the least.

  2.  The Original

The original was 'The Thing From Another World' made in 1951. This looks very good, and of course is the prequel to the 1982 version with Kurt Russell. This 2011 version takes place at the Norwegian Base, which was at the beginning of the 1982 version when Kurt Russell and his colleagues went to the Norwegian base.

  3.  Narration

I thoroughly enjoyed season two, but I found it rather off-putting with the american narration rather than the UK narration that I had heard on season one on the History channel here in the UK. But don't let that put you off from this wonderful series that will have you wondering if our planet would end up just like that without us!

  4.  Crystal Clear

This film is absolutely stunning on Blu-Ray, it's crystal clear and the sound is top notch. Well worth the buy along with The Chronicles of Riddick, and well worth the five stars.
