Clash Of The Titans (2010)

Hard film to review, I really enjoyed it for it's action but at the same time it was terrible. The "plot" is rushed and isn't great compared to the original story. For instance in the original perseus is thrown into trouble by zeus's jealous wife and so zeus helps perseus in order to keep him safe, whereas in the remake their's little reason for zeus to help out.

A great well divised film, one of those films that makes for a great second viewing, there are lots of little subtleties that you won't pick up on the first viewing because your not aware of the truth behind the story. the only slight let down would be that towards the end your pointed to much towards the truth so when the twist is revealed at the end it lacks the impact it could have had. but overall a fantastic much movie.
Toy Story 3: Triple Play (With Exclusive Artwork)
Saw this in Imax-3D, absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Couldn't stop laughing at Mr tortilla head. Although fantastic this one isn't always as fun as the first two because of the sad parts, but wounderful and magic an absolute must-see.

Absolutely incredible in hd, The picture is pin sharp and one of the only blu ray's i've had so far without a single trace of motion blur or judder (playback at 1080p 24p ). I loved this film at the cinema and also on dvd but on blu-ray it's just breathtaking truly one of the best hd releases so far.

Great film but hd conversion not great, it has great huge black bars top and bottom leaving a very small picture, Picture is very flat throughout with actors faces lacking detail and depth. the sound only works in 5.1 surround went set to spanish. a bit dissapointing considering this was an imax movie.

I've always loved this movie but on blu-ray it's absolutely breathtaking. some have reported judder and blur but i'd say this is down to their equipment, i've had motion blur problems with other blu-rays most notably "the dark knight" but watching 2001 in 24p on my sony gave very smooth playback. This film isn't for everyone, it's very slow but as i said it's just breathtaking to see what was achieved with technology of the day, you should think of 2001 as less of a movie and more of a live action painting, just sit back and look in awe at it's glorious technicolor splender.
LG 32 inch 32LF2510 / Full HD 1080p / Freeview / LCD TV
This is an excellent tv for the price. it actuallly packs many more features than described including 24p compatibility giving very smooth blu-ray play back, motion blur is very minimal which is impressive given that this only a 50hz tv. the built in picture wizard is also very usefull. All in all this was a great purchase and out performs many more expesive sets.
