  1.  We've all been there...most of us were one of them.

Five high school students, all different stereotypes, meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought....

They're all very different people but as the movie progresses and they learn more of each other, their never-ending afternoon detention will be one they'll never forget... very good movie

  2.  Cool cast and a dash of 90's hip-ness

Heath Ledger is very young in this movie and is very impressive, showing his future potential as the amazing versitile actor we all loved and admired...
He plays Patrick Verona, the "Criminal" of the school who is paid to tame Kat Stratford the difficult angsty teenager, and date her so that young Cameron- the new innoccent student can date her younger, pretty sister he falls for on his first day. The reason? Bianca is forbidden to date by her father unless Kat does.
This film is a real gem from the 90's, brings me back to that time growing up...hilariously funny with an added bonus being the excellant soundtrack that goes hand in hand with it. You won't regret buying this...and i doubt you'll forget it either.
*Watch out for a younger Joseph-Gordon Levitt, the sweet innocent Cameron!
