Great - just plan the set up
This is great, just don't blindly follow the instalation instructions. The instructions take you straight into running the wizard which works very well and is very simple BUT the defaut IP address was (of course) different to my network, so having run it I couldn't get back to it to change the ip address or amend the default password. If you do this you can press the default factory re-set (but you really do need to hold the button for over 10 seconds). It all worked out ok in the end so I would recommend this extender - great coverage all over the house now. my recommended instalation instructions are
- check your network IP address range and follow the instructions to change the extender ip address from 192.168.10.1 if that is not in your range
- change default password (and username as well if you're really paranoid ( to remove "admin"))
- then follow the simple wizard and it will set it up for you
I have it operating as an extender as the front bedroom doesn't have a RJ 45 socket to have it as an access point. Has very much improved wifi access in the bedroom.
