Sony STR- DA2400 ES 7.1 Channel Receiver (Black)
This is an absolute cracking receiver. As long as you have it set up correctly your music cd's will sound great, but you must have a decent set of speakers,i've got the Jamo 102's.Surround sound is also fantastic. There are so many settings on it that it can become frustrating, but read the manual and you will eventually be blown away. When i first lifted it out of the box and saw all the connection options it was quite frightening after spending £400,i sat down and wondered whether i had made a big mistake purchasing it,but stick with it and connect your equipment a bit at a time and then move onto the next etc and don't be tempted to keep fiddling with it and it will reward you with a fantastic home entertainment system
Wii Component Cable

There is an improvement in picture quality over the original leads ,i would say about 15%.It maybe because i have a 50" plasma tv that the image is stretched beyond its maximum. You will need to go into Wii settings and set resolution to 480p which is the maximum quality you will get from it,the rest is up to the TV to stretch the image...At the end of the day i can't understand Nintendo producing the wii with the knowledge that HDTV at 1080p resolution is here.Perhaps there will be a Wii 2 that will address the issue.More expense folks.
Sony CDP-XE370 CD Player (Black)
I've got a surround sound system, and while playing cd's on my dvd player was an ok sound i decided to purchase this dedicatedcd player from PLAY to see if it would improve it.I have to say that the difference is like black and white. It has a great clear and deep sound that has made a major difference to the sound of my cd's.
