Did you ever imagine what it would have been like in the 60's? Did you ever wonder what it was like to live in the 60's? Did you ever just wonder what it was like to live in America in the 60's?
Maybe because I was in my teens in the 60's that this film takes me back to what I felt like back then. This movie should have been given the full treatment of publicity and it would have been a smash hit. I am not a big fan of musicals, but this has a very good true to life storyline that sells it'self without the music. The music compliments this move and makes it 100% better. All the characters have names associated with the songs of John & Paul. I think this movie was a homage to not only the 60's but to the group that made the 60's what they were, The Beatles.
No ham actors in this movies and everyone is song perfect and not a key out of place. This film lasts for more than 2 hours and is not at all over long. Some kids today don't seem to have an attention span more than 5 minutes long. Let it Be.

I would have given this 5 Stars if there had been an end to this film, but alas, Mr Afleck decided to leave everyone annoyed and frustrated with the ending. People like to see closure unless it was obvious that there would be a sequel, but as we all know you cannot make a sequel from a solved mystery.
Great acting and when you think it is over it is not.
The Detectives: Series 1 (BBC)

This is one of the funniest ever Comedy Series ever on telly. From the beginning to the end of every episode and every series you won't stop laughing, they take the p&^s out of everything and everyone. Think of the dumbest of dumb people and make them Detectives, you have a comedy, but if you put Jasper Carrott and Robert Powell as the leads then you have a side splitting massive comedy hit. Should have been honoured in the New Years honours list.

This movie was excellent, not baffling at all, if you enjoy good acting and a script that makes you sit up and take notice, you will enjoy this caper.
I got it after about 10 minutes, it was not complicated like some people expressed in their revues.
Start music and the end credits music "Chaiyya Chaiyya", sung by Sukhwander Singh & Sapna Awasthi, would have been a top 5 hit in the UK if it was given a chance, absolutely spot on.
Marley And Me (2009)

Not my cup of tea, meanders on for an hour giving the observer many reasons why you should not own a dog.
I had heard that it was a good movie, it is a gentle film for for dog lovers to watch and family's to see, I nearly dozed off,.
Sentimentality kicks in near the end to make you want to say it was a good movie. It was not a total disaster, but not one I would watch again.
Thick As Thieves (aka The Code)

Morgan Freeman is his usual exceptional best, but Antonio Banderas looks tired and over the hill. The film reminded me of Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jone in Entrapment so the script was copy copy copy and very tired. Banderas seems to like plenty of stage make-up to hide the cracks. Not one I would recommend to a friend.
Would recommend it to an insomniac.
Body Of Lies

Forget about the saddo that only likes films with action and killing, this is a well made film only it reminds me of three people in a competition to see who has the biggest.
Without truth and plenty of lies, I can see why it was given it's title. The three main protagonists are trying to get the Al-Ma-Hat-Ma-Coat baddies (Al Qaida) except they each have different morals and like to do things differently. Good story will keep your attention if you are intelligent, if you are not and like watching fight fight boom boom films get yourself a Bruce, Arnold or Claud Van Dam movie.
The Boy In The Striped Pyjamas
I watched this and the only reason I did not give it a 5 star was because of the main actor David Thewlis, he is not a German, he is not a baddy, he does not even look the part, who picked him out and why. It would have worked just as well putting Rowan Atkinson as the Camp Comander, I think not
Watching the film I found it engrossing and I was anticipating what the end was going to be, wrong wrong wrong, how wrong I was, it was harrowing and thought provoking. I had chills down my spine at the end.
I know that it happened during WWII, I just don't know how it was allowed to happen by so many Countries!!!!!
Worth a watch, don't be put off by the few that left bad or crap feedback.
It was because some muppets hav'nt a clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Slumdog Millionaire (With Free Exclusive Script Book RRP 9.99)
This film is unbelievabley good. It is best that you do not know anything about this film so that the first few minutes of this film are a little puzzling and then once you get on the journey you won't want to get off.
No point in telling the outline story, you will have been given all that speil by everyone else, just watch and enjoy the ride, it will take hold of your emotions and turn them insideout and upsidedown and then finaly the end will be all that you have hoped and prayed for, and a lot more.
The whole cast and all the acting is brilliant.
