  1.  Dr. Seuss' GREEN message

    Posted:

Saw this in 3D at the cinema along with my sceptical friend. She loved it. Read all the Dr Seuss books with my son, years ago, he's now middle aged. I feel the film could have done with less singing and more of the original poems, although my friend thought the music was very 'High School Musical'. All the books have a moral message and some wonderful tongue twister rhymes; they got my son reading before he started school. The Blu Ray film is full of bright colours and almost as good as the 3D.

  2.  A Film 'To Die For!'

I also went to see this at the cinema, TWICE! I loved it. I read the books 30 years ago and am desperate for the DVD.

  3.  Fabulously nostalgic t.v.

I was desperate to see the original series, as it was 30 years ago that I read all the books. I loved them. Living in the UK I never saw this on tv. It was a stroke of genius to put it all on dvd. These dvd's are great with all the Barnabas episodes. The disc full of Extras is a real bonus. Makes me want to see the new Johnny Depp film, just to see how he plays Barnabas. The trailer looks great. I am already on Pre-order.

  4.  Love the new Sherlock.

OMG, I've died and gone to heaven. I recorded both series while they were on tv, but I just had to buy the DVD's. I've watched them so much, I'm almost word perfect. Desperate to find out how Sherlock "did it". Roll on Series Three. To start with I watched them with subtitles because I missed so much first time round.
Excellent acting, fab plots in a modern setting. Once I'd got into the mindset of there never having been a Victorian Sherlock, I was able to accept this one. I'm old enough to remember Basil Rathbone!!!

  5.  No, it can't possibly be legal!

What pure pleasure ........I had to watch it all in one go. It is so fresh and hilarious. Oh dear, what could be worse...... a Solicitor's office full of incompetent staff ------- NEVER! The writing is brilliant and totally up to date. The acting and timing are superb ....... this dvd is a MUST HAVE!

  6.  Excellent and funny

This is so great. The clever writing is as fresh today as it was 40 years ago. I used to get in from school and watch it on my grand parents tv. Now that I'm 'grown-up' I can appreciate how clever it was. It's definitely got to go down as a classic. It's brilliant.

  7.  We miss you Ralph.

Fabulous series. So full of pathos and hilarity. The timing is incredible. What a star Ralph Bates would have been today! I bought Series 1 and immediately went on the waiting list for Series 2. I can't bring myself to watch all the episodes in Series 2 because they are too good and I don't want it to end!

  8.  There are husbands like Martin - Believe me!

I loved this when it was on tv. I was so primed for Martin to turn the receiver round on the phone, every time he came in the door, that I would be on the edge of my seat each week - waiting. I loved Peter Egan's character - he was just as flawed as Martin and neither of them could see it. Fabulous acting and a joy to watch again. I'm hoping 'Prince Regent' will soon be released on dvd; another Peter Egan delight!
