  1.  The Matrix

The Matrix: A masterpiece of modern cinema, smart, ground breaking special effects and action packed. Excellent SF.

The Matrix Reloaded: A decent follow up but ultimately a let down, the action still top notch (apart from Neo vs the hundreds of Agent Smiths it just looks like a video game) as for the story it's bloated and hard to follow.

The Matrix Revelations: Dull, i have a hard time remembering anything about it and i've seen it at least 3 times.

I would give the trilogy overall 3 stars but the DVD is so crammed with extras it deserves another star.

  2.  Good but overrated

An enjoyable but short game. Most of the time you're just shooting wave after wave of faceless enemies it gets pretty tedious but the platforming bits are fun.

The main problem is other games do these features so much better, for platforming 'Assassins Creed' beats it hands down and 'Gears Of War' makes the whole taking cover and shooting much more exciting, 'Uncharted' just can't compare.

    Overall just average.

  3.  How Summer Blockbusters Should Be.

Christopher Nolans first and best (so far that is) Batman film. Its the first Batman film to really flesh out the character of Bruce Wayne, played superbly by Christian Bale and he has strong support by the likes of Gary Oldman, Michael Caine and Liam Neeson. I like The Dark Knight but this film just has a lot more emotional weight to it along with the spectacular stunts (the monorail chase scene inparticular). A must see.

  4.  Superman Soars Again!

I really enjoyed this film, it's made in the spirit of the first two 'Superman' movies going for spectacle rather than all out action. Brando Ruth makes a fine Clark Kent/ Superman and Kevin Spacey chews the scenery with cocky relish as Lex Luther.

    A great Saturday nights entertainment.
