There are a lot of smartphones out there, but I chose the Wildfire because of its customisable features and its battery life. The best arguments for android over iPhones are the thousands of free user-created apps, and the ability to control the screen brightness, wi-fi and bluetooth for that extra few hours of call time. The wildfire is 100% customisable with smart and nice-looking widgets and backgrounds, and has 7 home screens to fill with app shortcuts and widgets, such as music, FM radio, battery-saving controls, weather, share prices and FriendStream. I am still only using 5 of my home screens, so 7 is more than enough! I could have chosen one of the larger, high-resolution HTC phones, but what's the point in a phone with a high resolution/ high definition screen? All they do is drain the battery and I found they are far to large to comfortably fit in my pocket. So the Wildfire is the perfect compromise - nice, compact size, and all the features of the higher-end HTC phones, AND with better battery life! The only drawback is the camera - it is one of the better smartphone cameras, with 5mp, but it doesn't produce consistently high-quality photos. Video quality is very good though. This is the best smartphone I have ever used, and would highly recommend it to anybody who, like me, doesn't need an amazing camera on their phone. This is a serious iPhone rival for a fraction of the price!
