  1.  Play arts kai mass Effect

    Posted:

this is a high quality figure with great articulation and sculpt. the figure stands at just under 9" tall and has multiple accessories all done with super high attention to detail. The figure is deffinatly aimed at the adult collector market and I would not particulaly reccomend for children.

  2.  Mass Effect 3 Legion

    Posted:

This is Legion from the much delayed once cancelled and then revived 2nd series of Mass Effect figures.

It has been over a year since the 1st series of Mass Effect figures came out and my personal problem with that series was the very limited articulation.

Unfortunately Legion suffers many of the same problems that the first series did. The figure looks good but has the worst articulation of the second series. The limitations on his arm articulation results in him not even being able to hold the Sniper rifle that comes with him.

As far as Accessories are concerned Legion comes with a sniper rifle which is way too big for the figure and He cannot even hold it properly. And a base which is just a plane black disk with no detail accept the peg to stand the figure up.

    Sculpt 4 out of 5
    Articulation 2 out of 5.
    Accessories 2 out of 5

  3.  Mass Effect 3 Mordin

This is Mordin from the much delayed once cancelled and then revived 2nd series of Mass Effect figures.

It has been over a year since the 1st series of Mass Effect figures came out and my personal problem with that series was the very limited articulation.
fortunately the second series have made some improvements.

Mordin was my favourite character from Mass effect ( when he sang Gilbert and Sullivan in ME2 was magic ). So I have so been looking forward to this figure for a long time and it does not disappoint.

Mordin does not have the best Articulation of the series. But only because of some limitations from the sculpt in fact the articulation is pretty impressive as Mordins arms are very thin but with massive hands ( well he is an alien .)
The Sculpt is very good. His armour has been captured precisely but does hinder a little the articulation. His face and overall look is spot on.

As far as Accessories are concerned Mordin comes with one weapon which is a cool looking pistol ( hand cannon ) and a base which is just a plane black disk with no detail accept the peg to stand the figure up.

  4.  Mass effect 3 Garrus

This is Garrus from the much delayed once cancelled and then revived 2nd series of Mass Effect figures.

It has been over a year since the 1st series of Mass Effect figures came out and my personal problem with that series was the very limited articulation. fortunately the second series have made some improvements. Garrus has the best of articulation of all the 2nd series figures. He is not hindered by the sculpt of his armour as Shepherd was from the 1st series and can properly hold his rifle which allows him to be posed as the Bad Ass Sniper he is.

Garrus sculpt is very good. His armour has been captured precisely but without loosing articulation, although it should be noted that his appearance is based on Mass Effect 2 not 3 with his armour sporting the battle damage he suffers early in the game.

As far as Accessories are concerned Garrus comes with one weapon which Is a massive mean looking sniper rifle and a base which is just a plane black disk with no detail accept the peg to stand the figure up.

Unless your prepared to pay 3 times as much for the Play Arts Kai premium figure coming out later 2012, this is the Garrus for you.

  5.  Mass Effect 3 Miranda

This is Miranda from the much delayed once cancelled and then revived 2nd series of Mass Effect figures.
It has been over a year since the 1st series of Mass Effect figures came out and my personal problem with that series was the very limited articulation. fortunately the second series have made some improvements. Miranda has better arm articulation with ball jointed shoulders upper bicep swivel joint elbow joint and wrist swivel Joint. She also has standard upper leg articulation and knee joints.
Mirandas sculpt is not bad but not great either it doesnt quite capture the great looks of Mass Effects cold hearted Rear Of The Year winning Femme fetale. That being said there are some nice details and texture on Mirandas outfit. her hair looks decent but does limit the heads range of movement.

As far as Accessories are concerned Miranda comes with one weapon, which I think is a sub machine gun) and a base which is just a plane black disk with no detail accept the peg to stand the figure up (which Miranda really needs as she has small feet and high heeled boots).

    Conclusion
    Sculpt 3 out of 5
    Articulation 3 out of 5
    Accessories 3 out of 5

  6.  Battle across time

    Posted:

This is a high quality figure based very much on the adult collector market. The sculpt is great as iv come to expect from Neca and the paintwork is top notch too, as the other reviewer has stated this figure is a repaint of the Pescadero escape figure however the new grey t-shirt colour is more acurate to the movie than the previous.
now i am a little disspointed with the articulation on all the terminator figures, upper body is good with ball jointed shoulders, bend and twist elbows and ball jointed wrists BUT there is a total lack of lower body articulation, not that this is terrible when the figure is based for the collector market who tend to display the figures rather than play with them ( most of the time ). but Neca have proved they can do better articulation with their predator figures + Crysis 2 and splintercell figure.

    summary

    sculpt 10/10
    paint 9/10
    articulation 6/10
    accesories 7/10

    overall 7/10

  7.  Steel Mill T800

This is a beautifully detailed figure with a true likeness to Arnie, BUT it is dissapointing in the way of Articultion with almost no leg articultion at all, And I know Neca is very good at combining articulation with sculpt

  8.  Sam Fisher like you have never seen him before from Neca

    Posted:

This is a fantastic figure with a perfect balance between sculpt and Articulation, something only very few companies have achieved.

the paint work is top notch and Sam looks as cool in a neutral pose as he does in an Action pose. If I had i critisism it would be that for a character that has almost as many Gadgets as Batman and more guns than the terminator, Sam only comes with 1 pistol + a back pack, body armour and Smart Goggles.

    Summary

    Sculpt 10/10
    Articulation 10/10
    Paint 9/10
    Accessories 7/10

Overall 9/10 ( would have been 10/10 if Neca had included Sams Snake cam, Flash Bang Grendades and Machine gun or assault Rifle )

  9.  Series 2 Unmasked Berzerker

    Posted:

This is a great looking figure. It is identicle to the series 1 figure except obviously that it does'nt have a mask, and i have to say this makes the figure even better, the sculpt and paint work on the head is 5 star, and the face looks truly awesome and very badass.
The paint work oddly enough is a little diffirent to the 1st series, the overall colour is more grey than the latter's green but its a minor thing. I should also mention that the joints were so tight on the arms and legs when i took him out of the packaging I thought I was going to break the figure just trying to pose him, but after a few minutes carefully easing the elbow and knee joints they loosened just enough.
Put this figure up against the unmasked Classic Predator and you have the ultimate Pred face off.

    Can't wait for series 3

  10.  Classic Predator

    Posted:

The name of this figure sums it up perfectly " Classic ". this is the best Predator figure ever released, NECA has captured the perfect balance between sculpt and articaulation. Predator is fantastic to look at with gorgeous paint work and details, I will deffinatly look at the rest of this figure line now, highly reccomended.
